We have an old victorian. The main floor bathroom has NO venting of any kind. The old toilet was just terrible - it could barely flush water, much less anything else.

We replaced the old toilet with a Toto Drake and problem 1 was solved - fast, powerful flushes. But ... these toilets are so powerful that they were pulling air through the shower and sink traps. I bought and installed this 160 valve under the sink to solve the toilet venting problem. Technically, their smaller 20 size would "probably" have done the trick but it was only a few dollars more to get the larger model.

It works perfectly. No complaints at all.
