Well Again I must caution anyone who reads this book that it is highly erotic and very sexual.

This is a sci-fi romance. It takes place in the future. Earth has established relations with another planet Shimerian, who has a lot of men on it who need wives/mates. Our heorine Sharon took an "oath" at age 18 to possibly become one of these mates/wives. She never expected it to actually happen but suddenly Her mate came calling. Liken has know about her for years(he's Telepathic) but decided to wait to let her have a life without him first. Now Sharon doesn't really want to be there but she must go through a trial period. If she she resists him the oath will be broken and she can go home. Now there she has three options or oaths that she may choose. The oath of Seduction, the oath of Challange and the oath of Capture. She chose Seduction. You can guess what that means. Sharon discovers that there is much more to Liken than just just terrific bod. He is a caring person who can make her life a happy one if she chooses to stay. Liken must overcome her fears and help her realize that they are life mates.

This book has two sequels, Oath of Challange which is Sharon's friend Kate's Story and another one Oath of Capture.

I really enjoyed this book although I couldn't set in my comfy recliner and read it. I am looking forward to the others in the series.

Sharon is a librarian who signed up to be the pledgemate of an alien when she was young, never thinking she would have to go through with the Oath. She likes to be in control and she thinks she is happy with her boring well ordered life.

Liken found Sharon telepathically a year ago, but he wanted her to have time to get bored with her life. He comes to claim her and she becomes his pactmate.

He is handsome, patience, dominate and very sexual. She is hiding a passionate, submissvie nature. They come together and through trial and error fell in love with each other.

Marly Chance has written a wonderful book, that shows relationships that work most have give and take in them. This is the first book in this sereis. Oath of Challenge is Kate and Tair's story is available on ellorascave.com. the third book will be out in March and is Oath of Capture.

Read these books they are wonderful.

The first thing I did when I finished reading this book was to search for more books by this author. I gobbled up the second book as quickly as the first...Marly Chance has a light, engaging style that reminds me of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Her science fiction world is interesting and left me wanting to find out more about this planet, their culture and the role of guardians and trackers. If this world is so male-dominated and agressive, how do they govern themselves without endless fighting? Why is linking so necessary for the safety of women? Hopefully, Marly Chance will tell us more in her next book. I can't wait.

Can I give this book 10 stars?? This book was so sensual and erotic. I loved the whole futuristic theme with aliens from another planet. When I first read the review I thought to myself how corny, but it wasn't. It was interesting and exciting.

There is a shortage of females on this other planet. So the government on earth has agreed to help this other planet out. Some of the women on earth enlist to possibly marry a male from the other planet, they sort of see it like their civil duty (there are alot of stipulations, alot of ways to eventually get out of the agreement). And of course a very small percentage ever gets called to serve. So Sharon enlists while in college thinking her name will never be called, since the odds are against her. Well Liken has called her to duty, and he has a certain amount of time to seduce Sharon before she is allowed to return to earth. His goal is that she will never want to leave.

Liken was your typical alpha male; charming, strong, confident, highly sexual, and of course good looking. She of course resists him at first, but eventually falls for him. I love how Liken's brother was played in. Loved all the parts with him. I can't wait to read his book. This is one steamy book that is not to be missed.

Liken has known Sharon was out there, waiting for him for over a year. He also knew that she was not ready for a life with him, but now is the time. He will capture her heart one way or another... no matter what it takes.

Sharon chooses Seduction as her means of knowing Liken. What she does not count on is falling hard and having to choose between a life with Liken on his world, or her own comfortable existence. Well, that and some very interesting customs. :) What will happen when you take a straight laced librarian and throw her into a world where sex is second nature? Well, I guess you'll just have to see for yourself!

This is shaping up to be a VERY interesting series! There were some extremely hot characters introduced that I can't wait to read about. As to the main story here . . . SIZZLING! It's a futuristic setting, but I believe anyone that loves romantica will enjoy this book. For sure, you'll be looking for the next book in the series!

EXCELLENT BOOK! This is the first erotica I had ever read and definitely not the last, especially by this author. A great plot that's very gripping. The love scenes you must read yourself to believe. You will not put this book down and you will be like me scrambling to buy her next book and waiting impatiently for the third installment. If you like Linda Howard for her real, steamy love scenes then you must read erotica and this author is one of the best.

Marly Chance is a young writer who definitely knows how to write great steamy novels. Oath of Seduction is a fast read with no extraordinary plot, but it kept me hooked from the first page to the last!
If you are like me, looking for a hot read with a bit more than just emotionless get-to-the-act characters, this book should be for you. The futuristic setting reminds me a bit of "Warrior's woman" from Johanna Lindsey. If you liked this book and are up for a more risqué reading then do not hesitate further...

And if you like strong woman with strong personality that keep men at bay with snappy retort, read the 2nd book of the series: Oath of Challenge (have a look on her website marlychance.com).

Oath of Seduction is a steamy romp into sexual discovery. A new reader of the e format books I am delighted by this new authors work. The love scenes are hot enough to make you sweat with a deliciously dominant male you just want to shove on the floor and have your way with. This story is one of the first of the elloras cave novels I have read. But certainly not the least. If you enjoy this title I reccommend you go to ellorascave.com and peruse the titles they have there..... The second book in this series of three is out and about Liken's brother. Hmmmmmm....... better and better.

This series is so good! It is sexy, full of eroticism that is HOT HOT HOT, with a great sense of humor. You will laugh at times, and flush at others (ok, so maybe it's most of the time!). I recommend it to those who like their romance hot, but still tasteful. This is STILL romance, not just sex for the sake of it.

I bought this book wanting some spicy erotica, and the book delivered exactly what it promised - hot sex in a futuristic fantasy setting. It seemed to be more suited to short-story format, rather than a whole novel. I certainly hope that the sequel will give Chance to opportunity to draw a more complete picture of the Shimerian world.

I liked that face that Sharon, while totally shocked and out of her element, did her best to cope with the changes in her life, even though "going out for a beer" was indeed a stupid romance novel heroine things to do...

All I can say was that the "linking" scene, with Tair, was definitely the hottest part of the book. I can't wait to read more about him in the sequel!

I find it unfortunate that the smaller publishing houses have such difficulties with editing and quality control, but otherwise, this was a light and very enjoyable read.
