Hope: Helping Others Pay Everything.,
By None "None" (Leawood, Ks) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Obama: The Essential Guide to the Democratic Nominee (Paperback)
Hope: Helping Others Pay Everything.
Obamunism Work Hard. Other people need YOUR money! No problem on the Tax increase....Because I am a business owner, who took massive personal & financial risks to start a company, which created jobs, I (and thousands of others) now have the luxury or firing as many people as I need to take home as much money (after all the new taxes) as I need for my current life-style. Why "invest" more by hiring and creating additional jobs, just to pay higher taxes? Remember, we "rich" (which I don't consider myself) people "invest" to form companies, which create jobs. This isn't done by the poor. I hate to sound so crass, but these are the facts. At the end of the day, it's about me and my family, not supporting massive government programs that support the lazy. So, all you "geniuses" who think that increasing taxes is OK, consider the unintended circumstances of liberalism and socialism. Posted 5 days ago. ( permalink | delete | edit )

NOT a Guide--A Coffee Table Book, Lots of Photos, No Stats,
By Robert D. Steele (Oakton, VA United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER)
This review is from: Obama: The Essential Guide to the Democratic Nominee (Paperback)
This book is on sale in supermarkets, and I spent time with both this book and its counterpart for John McCain.
I recommend both books as coffee table books, lots of great photos and general information about the individuals, but this book is NOT a guide. There are no statistics, no tables, no comparisons, no meaningful GUIDE to who the candidate is and what they really stand for based on their actual behavior, votes, known acquaintances, etcetera. What would be extraordinarlily valuable, if the publishers want to do a fast make-over, is a SINGLE book that compares all four candidates On the Issues and on their Values and what it all means for the federal government's future, the budget's future, and the country's future. For an idea of what I am talking about, look online for "On the Isuses," and see especially the way they plot on a map relative differences.
