Book Description

It's hard to remember the dark days before 2008. It was a time of hatred, racism, violence, obese children, war, untaxed rich people, and incandescent light bulbs -- perhaps the worst days we had ever seen. And at the heart of it all was a thuggish, thoughtless man, George W. Bush, who lashed out angrily at whatever he didn't understand -- and he understood so very little. Then there was that laugh of his -- that horrible snicker that mocked everything intelligent and nuanced. Also, he looked like a chimp.

It seemed like the end for the United States of America. We would crumble in the hands of vicious, superstitious dimwits determined to hunt "ter'ists" or other figments of Bush's rotten mind. There was nothing left to do but head to Whole Foods to prepare our organic, sustainable, fair-trade last meal as the country ended around us. Despair had overtaken us, and we wondered aloud whether we could ever feel hope again.

And then a man emerged who firmly answered, "Yes we can!"

Oh, but Barack Obama was no mere man. He was a paragon of intelligence and civilized society. A savior to the world's depressed. A lightbringer. A genius thinking thoughts the common man could never hope to comprehend. And his words -- his beautiful words read from crystal panes -- reached down to our souls and told us all would be well. With the simple act of casting a ballot for Barack Obama, we could make the world an immeasurably better place -- a world of peace, of love, of understanding, of unicorns, of rainbows, of expanded entitlements. This was his promise. And now, having had him as president for more than two years, we can say without reservation that he has delivered all his promises and more and is the best president this country -- or any country -- has ever had or could even imagine to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Political Satire at its best November 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a great work of satire skewering the Obama phenomonon with a razor sharp wit. Frank Fleming has a rare gift for political satire that is funny and cutting without veering off into the mean spirited or name calling that usually infects the genre.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious take on today's administration November 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a great tongue-in-cheek parody of the Obama administration. There's at least one laugh every page. The content for the price makes this beyond a bargin, but a steal! You'll never see the moon the same way again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Teh Funny!!11!! November 16, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
"I laughed. I cried. I touched myself in inappropriate ways. Then I bought and read the book. Meh." Barney Frank

The only problem with Frank's satire is that the left is so far around the bend that their "reality" sometimes laps Frank's humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Successfully Mining a Rich Vein for Comedy November 16, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
As historians ponder the seemingly hysterical love affair those in the main-stream media and the pundit class had for a little-known senator from Illinois, the rest of us right-wing extremists can have the last laugh with productions like this one. I wish it had been longer!! I laughed out loud several times and will read it again. Almost makes up for the hell of the last three years. Almost.

Hey, David Brooks--how do you like his pant-crease now?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read January 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Of all the books I have ever read, this is one. Fleming uses many different words. He even spells them correctly although I suspect he used spell check. He also uses lots of punctuation. I have to assume the Pulitzer committee already has his award ready to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars I got a tingle up my leg. December 4, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Are you feeling just a bit discouraged because the Republicans have been preventing Barack Obama from bringing the hope and change we need? Do you find yourself no longer admiring the crease in his pants as much as you used to? Does listening to the One's speeches no longer give you quite the same tingle up your leg? Then you need to read Frank J. Fleming's Obama: The Greatest President in the History of Everything.
You will be reminded once again of the dark times in the BO (Before Obama) era. You will be able to relive the wonder and glory of The One's election, of his masterful administration, his ingenious policies. You will recall His daring foreign policy in which He travelled around the world apologized for America's many transgressions. Best of all, Fleming provides the facts you need to refute the suggestions from your racist friends and neighbors that Obama may not be the Greatest President Ever.

And, if you don't happen to be an Obama fan, you'll at least have a few good laughs as the country and the economy goes down the toilet. Fleming really is a brilliant and hilarious satirist. Let's hope this is just the first of many, many books

...and that way is a surrealism that makes Groucho Marx look like Walter Cronkite. You might think it impossible to exaggerate the vainglory, folly and self-adulation of Barack Obama and his cronies but Fleming accomplishes it with hilarious ease in a burlesque skewering worthy of the National Lampoon or Punch in the days when they were funny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great political satire November 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Frank Fleming takes the stereotypes liberals and the main stream media use and brings them all to their ridiculous life. In this bizarro world of the left wind media Chris Matthews gets tingles when he hears Obama and speech against W that borders on a felony gets a pass. Fleming brings this all to it's insane conclusion. Brillant and funny.
