5.0 out of 5 stars Obedience to what rule?
I usually stay away from instrumental music as I often find the mood becomes repetitive. Not this one, it's like an ongoing discussion between people but done by some instruments instead. Like humans, those instruments have all a different way to express themselves with their own emotions (sometimes calm, one a the time, sometime more animated or everybody at the same...

2.0 out of 5 stars Finite following
2 1/2

Much of this can come across almost laughable in its attempt to, under far less a range of talent, parlay the vaunted Godspeed aesthetic, yet it somehow cannot become entirely dismissed either.

I usually stay away from instrumental music as I often find the mood becomes repetitive. Not this one, it's like an ongoing discussion between people but done by some instruments instead. Like humans, those instruments have all a different way to express themselves with their own emotions (sometimes calm, one a the time, sometime more animated or everybody at the same time). Simple chords ingeniously arranged together to make a piece. I enjoy the cello as usual.

I recommend this cd for Mogwai's listener. They say it sounds like "Godspeed you black emperor" also, but I don't know as I am not familliar with them. I should give them a try as this band is from my town and their name come back very often.

Best songs on this cd are "Last ditch" and "Someting terrible is about to happen".

1.0 out of 5 stars CHEESE!!!! Worst CD of the year award!, June 6, 2005
This review is from: Obedience (Audio CD)
This band sounds nothing like Mogwai, DO make say think, nor Godspeed! In fact, it is an insult to place those bands with this terrible excuse for noise! I have been listening to instrumental music for the last 6 years and never heard a band as bad as this one. The CD is similar to a Hybrid of Elevator-smooth-listenin'-Kenny G'esk crap and some form of Phish-Acid Rock nonsense! SAVE YOUR MONEY, do buy some Lego's, they will surely please you more!
