This book offers concise, very well edited information about the key personalities behind the development of psychoanalytic thinking from Freud through the present focus on intersubjectivity. The Scharffs are exceptional in their integration of sophisticated understanding of the sequential world views of the writers, and of the linkages with current neurobiology. I find this a key reference to have available on mhy bookshelf.
