I have gifted this and just received it as a gift myself. First off, if you hate soggy cereal like I do, this thing sure does the trick! I LOOVEE it for that! HOWEVER, the thing is HUGE! Looks a lot smaller in the picture than it really is. It's 8" in Diameter and 4.5" in height. It does have a nifty handle thing for holding it and is a very rugged plastic that's dishwasher top rack, so that's a plus, but there's definitely no need for this bowl to be that huge. It takes up so much space in my cabinet - I cant imagine if you had to store more than one! Also, the top part where the cereal goes is quite small and shallow. It only fits about a cup of cereal before it begins spilling over the sides. So yes, it does fit at least one serving of cereal but not easily or comfortably. Another downfall is the price, for $19.99, I'm glad I got it as a gift because it's just impractical in many areas. Perhaps if you had children who complain about soggy cereal it would be a good buy? Overall though, yes, it works and is a really nifty thing to have if you hate soggy cereal and it makes a great gift...but there's so many other inconveniences about it that I'm just glad I didn't shell out the $20 myself.

Bought this to give a gift to my sister who is moving to an apartment next year. Watermelon color is essentially pink which is her favorite color.

The way you can hold it is non-strainful, it cups into your hands.

Might buy one for myself, but it might be tough eating ramen out of this.

At first glance, I wasn't sold. But after using one at a friends house, I HAD to get one for myself. Now it's my favorite gift to give! You NEED TO GET THIS BOWL!!!! And the little boy in the commercial is adorable!

The design is fantastic. I use it for more than cereal. Ice cream in the bottom, crunchy topping on top. Scoop small bits of crunch in my ice cream at a time. Cookies on top, pudding on the bottom. MMM!!! I could go on and on.

And it comes in PINK now!!! Yay!!

I can't remember when or where I actually saw the first promo for this product, but it was unique enough to catch my eye so i decided to check it out of course here on Amazon. Read the number of reviews that had been written for it and now that I own one myself I do find myself agreeing with several other reviewer's opinions about this bowl, however, It's still a keeper in my book.

SIZE: It is in fact overall a large bowl, but the portion for cereal (if that's what you decide to use it for) is quite small. On the up side though, if you fill that portion of the bowl you'll find that it gives you approx. a portion and a half in regards to what many nutrionalist consider the "proper portion" of food in the cereal category. We've already used it numerous times during my daughters sleepovers and have filled the lower area with Chips and upper area with chip dip and have noticed the children actually congregating around the bowl to get a chance to dip out of it:-)

WEIGHT: The bowl is certainly heavier than what most would probably want for their everyday cereal bowl use, but having said that, it seems to be constructed well, has a wide base(in relation to the overall bowl design) which i suspect will guard against accidental tip-overs, and seems to be dishwasher safe. The material is quite thick and has very appealing, flowing edges.

PRICE: certainly more than i would ever pay for a simple single use bowl and I suspect i will not be buying another simply because $20 a bowl is a bit pricy, especially for something that i would not use daily,......but suprisingly our bowl does get used several times a week for holding chips and dips or for when my daughter wants two of her favorite fruits; cherries and watermelon:-)

Overall my family is pleased with this item, it does have it's uses, looks and feels like it should last for years to come and certainly is quite the conversational piece. I can easily give it 4 stars but not 5 simply because of it's price and the fact that the weight I feel would either cause much fatigue over extended periods of time or on the up side possibly help to build up the forearm tone and definition that a select few fitness fanatics may actually want-lol Either way, it's one of those dishware items that i think "1 of" would be a wonderful addition in any home. My grandkids love to dip cookies in milk. This is such a great idea! They are very well made, saves on number of dishes to wash and the kids love using them.
I had to laugh as they were dipping their cookies in the milk to hear them say I was the best NaNa ever!!

I would NOT recommend this, nor would I buy another one. It is way to HEAVY and it's so big. Not to mention it was a bit pricey for one bowl.
