David Sanchez has honed his natural talent by playing with the best of the best. In his new CD "Obsesion" Sanchez expertly showcases this talent and experience by laying down beautiful, breezy grooves with deft sax playing that achieves a mood of longing and nostalgia in songs like "Sonando con Puerto Rico" and that cleverly interacts with an incredible rhythm section in stop-start arrangements in songs like Sanchez' memorable interpretation of the classic "Lamento Borincano". This CD should be destined to be a classic.

Terrific,

This recording features jazz powerfully integrated with Latin song forms. Alot of Latin jazz is heavy on the jazz and light on the Latin. This is exceptional. It smokes.

Excellent latin jazz. Does go avant-garde at times so if you think jazz is musical wallpaper be careful
