Mental Orgasm,
By
This review is from: Obsessed: An Invitation Erotic Odyssey (Strebor Quickiez) (Paperback)
Obsessed by Delilah Devlin is part of Strebor Quickiez. These are a new set of erotica for women on the go. You can read these books in one sitting, coming or going and they are packed with just as many juicy details as a full-blown novel.
Obsessed is about a woman named Briana who is struggling with a compulsive disorder that forces her husband into the arms of another woman. While Briana is a neat freak, and believes everything should be in order, including her sex life, she is scared and confused and refuses to let go of her inhibitions. Jonathan has been a patient husband for over seven years wishing that his wife would let go and live a little, but when she becomes more adamant about cleaning up, especially after their humdrum sexcapades, Jonathan has had more than enough. Left to her own devices, Briana's world is turned upside down. She does not know where to turn, or for that matter what truly drove her husband away. Can she start over? Will she learn to control her compulsive disorder or will she unleash the beast that is fighting to break free. Briana takes a trip to a secluded island where she learns more than she bargained for about herself. Wild sex scenes, ménage a trios, sexy men and a beautiful island set the pace for this raunchy journey of finding herself. After a mere three days in heaven can Briana bring herself to go home and face her old life, or is she willing to unleash that sexy vixen she found in paradise? Obsessed by Delilah Devlin was a quick interesting read that was not only stimulating but sexually charged. I recommend Obsessed to readers who enjoy erotic novels, but want something fast and hard; more on the lines of immediate gratification. Reviewed by: Cheryl H APOOO BookClub

Definitely Obsessed,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Obsessed: An Invitation Erotic Odyssey (Strebor Quickiez) (Paperback)
Obsessed was one woman's path to self discovery. Through the pain of an impending divorce, Briana finds her inner self and the reasons behind some of her obsessive-compulsive behavior. I felt Briana's pain and humiliation when her husband left. I could feel her anxiety when she was put on the spot in a situation she wasn't sure she could handle. I also felt the hope and the love that built through the story.
Delilah will continue to be one of my favorite authors and I will continue to buy and read her work with abandon.

Imaginative And Exciting,
This review is from: Obsessed: An Invitation Erotic Odyssey (Strebor Quickiez) (Paperback)
Briana Neeson thought she had the perfect marriage until her obsessive-compulsive behavior drives her husband to divorce court. Confused and heartbroken, Briana tries to find ways to mend her marriage until an anonymous postcard invitation to an exotic island pops up in the mail. Briana soon escapes to a resort where all of her sexual fantasies can come true. But can Briana let go of her inhibitions and insecurities in order to participate in the exhibitionist lesson that she needs to learn?
Obsessed is a spicy novella by Delilah Devlin. Devlin created a unique story about how a woman's obsessive-compulsive tendencies damaged her marriage. You can feel Briana's uncertainty when she arrives on the island. Devlin does a good job in showing the transformation of Briana into a confident woman, both mentally and sexually. This story is filled with racy sexual escapes that will satisfy any erotica lover. Fans of this author's previous work should be warned that this is an erotica story with a slight underlying romantic theme. Obsessed is a imaginative and exciting addition to this series. I love this book. Sex, OCD, cheating, secret identities all make for a wonderful book of sex, love, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder mixed into one. Or should I say getting over OCD when it comes to love and sex. I am a 28 year old woman with OCD and I fell in love with this book. I love reading many books and by many I mean over 5,000 if not more. I highly recommend it for people who like love stories that go through a little tribulation. If you get this book make sure you get the other 2 that go with it or you will wonder what happened to the other women on the plane. (wink*wink)

needs a warning on the label,
This review is from: Obsessed: An Invitation Erotic Odyssey (Strebor Quickiez) (Paperback)
This is not the first book I have read of Ms. Devlin. I have read a couple of others and one or two in anthology and enjoyed them. I enjoyed the concept of a sex vacation resort and Ms Devlin got the emotions across in the book. I was at first surprised at her showing the heroine as wanting her husband back. She catches him in bed with another woman and she wants him back, asks him to stay instead of getting ticked off and throwing something at him? What is wrong with the girl? But as I read more and learned about her, I could understand better why she behaves the way she does. My only complaint is that there was no warning for a prospective reader that there was menage and anal sex. That is just not my thing. I can skip a few pages, but this story has several section of it and so it was not a book I enjoyed because of that. If you enjoy reading that in books then you should enjoy this story. It would seem to be a bit much for such a small book but she is at a SEX resort; so it would seem that there would be a lot of sex. If you went skiing over the weekend you wouldn't go out and ski only once; you'd be out there in the snow as much as you could. So, you would expect on at a sex vacation resort to have lots and lots and lots of sex. Pace was fast, but required in this short of a book and where she was at. Emotions were high, and came across good. If you look at the heroine from a psychological perspective, you can better understand her behaviors, reactions; she is OCD and has self-esteem issues. What surprised me was the ending. If it has been a longer book I wouldn't have read it, due to the content of menages and anal sex, but being so short, I decided to finsish it, and for that part, I am glad. I will be more careful from now on and review erotica books more to weed out the ones with m/m/f, but if you like that, you probably will like the book I hate to give a judge on a book as there are so many factors involved. Personal tastes, subjective viewpoints on behaviors, actions of characters. But I will try to explain my reasons in rating. If I were the type of enjoy menages and anal sex, then I would like this book; it has it plenty. the pace could have slowed down some, but it is a short book and sex resort, so it is accepted. The emotions and behaviors of the characters fit to what the author is trying to create. My negatives are personal, the menages and anal sex. The ending, is definitely unusual, and the only problem I have with it is she not recognizing who was who on the island. So, overall, I would give it almost a four if I base it on what was written, not just on my personal tastes. Since they don't have it where you can do point and #, then it has to go to four.

Briana's world is turned upside down when she arrives home early and discovers her husband's infidelity. Although he warned her of his intent to cheat, she is still devastated. Briana has obsessive-compulsiv e disorder, which affects her behavior even in the bedroom. After her separation, her friend encourages her to go on an erotic vacation to address her sexual hang-ups. Once on the island, Briana relinquishes control in areas she didn't think possible and discovers her adventurous side. Will she be able to maintain this new self-image or is this just her alter ego while away?
OBESSED: An Invitation to Erotic Odyssey is one of the offerings from the Strebor Quickies line, which consist of short erotic tales. Devlin deals with the serious topic of obsessive-compulsiv e disorder and a marriage on the verge of breaking up which cannot be tackled in such a short tale. This gave the book the feel of being incomplete with sex thrown in to justify the genre of erotica. For an erotic short, I would have preferred a lighter fare. I have been a reader of Delilah's for several years via EC and some paper publications, and always found her a great read. This foray into a shorter, 1.e "quicker read" is a great disappointment. I did not connect emotionally with any of the characters (too many)and found the erotica rushed and sparsly written. Go back to the short story manual and get a better editor.

The concept of this book, a couple with a failing marriage, a wife with obsessive compulsive disorder, and a husband who doesn't know how to reach her is strong. However, the length of the book doesn't allow enough development of characters to be believable and the serious nature of the book's concept deserves more depth. I guessed the "surprise" ending about a quarter way into the book; hoping I was wrong or there was more to the book's end, but it was as anti-climatic as I feared. The sex scenes in this book were well written which is the only thing keeping it from getting 2 stars.
