Obsessed is a nice movie for a nice evening. Its mainly he-said/she-said movie because it's taken from a true trial case. And like all movies that fit into this class, director has put an extra effort to make the judgment (in real case) look like as if it is truth.
Shouldn't we say 'Based on true trial case' rather than 'Based on true story' because nobody knows the truth except Ellaina and Doctor Stillman themselves. Judgment of court is based on facts and everybody who has seen a real-life trial knows how lawyers and liars bend them easily. Ellain(Jenna Elfman) is a successful medical writer who is obsessed with a neurosurgeon Dr Stillman. Although this is exposed very slowly till the end. Ellain is shown to be schizophrenic just because it aids true trial case outcome. Movie could have been excellent, if facts from both sides were given similar treatment by director and he had left decision in hands of viewers. One of the dialogues in the movie(may not be accurate) but it is one of my favorite: Dr Stillman: "You are amazing." Ellaina: "I like it when you say that word. Say it again." All I'll say about the ending is the jury did the right thing. Happy watching.

OK, it's a bit cheesy - it's Lifetime, for God's sake. But I just love this film, about a woman who may or may not be the jilted ex-lover of a prominent (and married) surgeon, who denies having had any relationship with her. Every time I watch it, I see some little insight into the character of the obsessed woman Ellena Roberts (played well enough by Jenna Elfman, though personally I would have liked to see Mira Sorvino).
The more I see it, the more well-written I realize it was. And it's a treat to see Dr. Cuddy from "House" in the film. I don't know. I just love this movie!

I saw this movie on lifetime and after the movie ended I was stunned. The woman in the movie obviously needed psychiatric help, and I was wondering why no one discovered this before she made the doctor and his family's life a living hell. Jenna Elfman did a decent job as the psychotic woman who had no boundaries as for how she behaved in court and towards the doctor and his wife. It will make you wonder after seeing this film if sometimes when men are accused of having affairs and say they did not do it, the movie will make you think that perhaps they may be telling the truth.

I love movies where the psycho chic has purpose and she isn't crazy for no reason. This was based on a true story, like wow. If you haven't seen this movie it is worth it and the ending will blow you away.

Even though I watched the entire movie (although sorely tempted to quit watching), this one never rose above average for me. Yes, there is a surprise twist at the end but the rest of the movie simply dragged on far too long. None of the actors were compelling enough to make this seem like more than a he said/she said tale. Sure, there were some sexy scenes but I didn't find the chemistry between Ellena Roberts (played by Jenna Elfman) and David Stillman (Sam Roberts) to be authentic. I did find the surprise twist at the end to be a nice touch but otherwise this isn't really worth the time. I find plenty of Lifetime Original Movies to be very well done. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them.
The basic plot? A doctor finds himself the subject of obsession (or is he?) by Ellena. After that, the movie disintegrates into the he said/she said viewpoints noted above as well as the build-up to the courtroom scenes. I found myself getting impatient with the seemingly clueless Elenna and eager for the movie to end. I only sat through the whole thing in order to write this review.

I like almost all of Lifetime's movies and love tuning in to watch but this was certainly not one of the best. The name bring "obsessed" was not what it should have been called, the lady was dreaming and had an illness. This movie had a horrible twist which made the ending bad and hard to follow and understand the whole way through, this movie was not what I had expected. As I said I like almost all of Lifetime Original Movies but I definitely wan't be watching this one again.
