As a psychologist, I was truly amazed at the detail in this book. It is said that the author wrote this book in three days! The book is not about Michael Jackson, but if you enjoy reading a great novel...this is a great book. It is hard to believe that one person could endure what this girl has gone through. She details her obsession with Michael Jackson and how her relationship with him led her into a dangerous obsessive relationship. I, too, as the other reviewers, read this book in a day! You just dont want to put it down. I say all females, young and old, should read this. I am sure there will be something in there you would relate to and it does let you know that you can overcome adversity! To the author, I say, continue staying strong!

I loved this book! I read it in 6 hours I couldnt put it down. Its shocking! Its emotional! It has all the drama anyone could relate to in a relationship. Must read this book you wont want to put it down!

I opened this book and could not put it down. It is an easy read and you just want to know what's going to happen next. Reading this book lets women know that they can overcome anything. I think men can also relate to the story. I recommend this book. Tell all your friends.

This book is not about Michael Jackson at all. Like millions of other people, this author uses his name to sell her book and make money. Need I say more?

I too bought this book because of its link to Michael Jackson's life. I was rather surprised at the trauma and life experiences in this woman's life. It is hard to believe that this book is an actual account of the events of one woman's life. It is mainly about her strange abusive obession with a man who stayed present in her life for many years. The book was tagged as though it had a Michael Jackson connection, but her relationship to him was only mentioned in passing. The whole story seemed a bit far fetched.

First let me say I really enjoyed this book. Theresa was a real woman that made a lot of mistakes but owned up to them. She deserves respect for that. But I'm confused as to why she would put Michael Jackson's name on the cover (Making a fan like myself believe it has something to do with him) and then hardly mention him at all?

I can't wait for her new book 'Remember the Time'. At least that will have more to do with Michael.

WOW!!! I must say that this novel has gone to the limit on obsession. It was interesting how the author has this dual obsession....did you catch that! She has an obsession with Michael Jackson, that was the saving grace of her teenage years and the massive obsession with Vincent. What is better than a true story? I love this novel in many ways; it was true, well written and obsessive. The author has done a good job with grabbing her readers from the very first page. She continues this roller coaster ride through to the end. The tangy part was getting some helpful sex hints :). I wonder what the son is up to these days?
To the other reviewer, Book Goddess "Lisa", try and have some class when leaving a review and not a personal vendetta on the author. Oh and learn how to spell it hurts your credibility

In so many ways this book will open your eyes! The title does not lie, not only is it a shocking story in itself, but it's shockingly true. The pace is fast, but the plot thickens as you go. I want to thank the author for writing this book. The modern day love triangles are not what they used to be, and although we get into these messes, it is good to know she came out on top! Its inspiring, in a strong way. I think this is a great book for the modern woman. I've told all my friends to read it! And the ones that have are glad they did. It's like those stories you overhear at a party, and you cant' stop eavesdropping! But at the end we all learn something. Unforgettable.

DON'T read ANY sort of "tell all" and/or "biography" like these by "former girlfriends" or "friends" of Michael Jackson!

It also includes biographers as well!

PLEASE avoid reading books like this about Michael Jackson and other celebrities!

They're meant to deceive, corrupt, and fool you!

That was how the author autographed my book! This book is a real page turner. Granted it is not about the author and Michael Jackson, but if you read the product description, or her website synopsis and the simple fact that the cover says The shocking true story about the real Billie Jean...you know it is about her. I dont fault that. This book came out in 2004, so I would venture to say that Michael was aware of it. So people quit hating on such a good book. The story is a page turner. I couldnt stop reading it. I read it in one day. I would also say the author really put herself out there when writing it. It didnt just make the guy look bad. I say Kudos to Ms. Gonsalves for showing both sides of a love gone wrong. After reading it, I think it was both love and an Obsession! Thanks Ms. Gonsalves for giving me a good read. I am going to order The Man in the Woods! I already read REMEMBER THE TIME and will read it again as it makes me smile about Michael. And looking forward to your next book. You now have a fan for life!
