Daniel Reeves's Obsessive Becoming is one of the great achievements in the history of experimental moving image art.It is a visually dazzling, emotionally charged masterpiece of poetic expression that elevates the personal to the universal with magisterial grace. Sorrow, pain and loss are not vanquished in this remarkable family history, but they are countered by a compassion so heartfelt and a forgiveness so genuine that the final sense of release is overwhelming. All this is propelled forward by densely interwoven streams of poetic imagery and evocative sound. It's a work of unforgettable artistic richness and emotional force.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Movie, BUT Unplayable DVD!, February 25, 2011
This is one the greatest movies I have ever seen, but my review is about the actual DVD release.

I bought this back several years ago and this item did not play on either of my players. I was sent another copy which sadly also did not play. I've tried it on three separate players and each player will not recognise the DVD at all. I contacted the sellers but hear nothing back. I just think others should be aware before buying this product.
