I've always been of the belief that whatever two consenting adults want to do sexually is o.k. as long as all parties involved includes "consenting adults."

After reading through Obsessive Sex, I had a major paradigm shift. I never considered the fact that humans don't have the right to do whatever "feels good." Dr. Jackie presents a very compelling analysis of why we do not have that right; no matter how consenting the other party(ies).

I know that may be a shock to some, and you are probably thinking I'm an older, conservative, and very religious person. In fact, the exact opposite is true. While I do believe in God, and pray to him often, I do not attend a church because I feel most churches just don't "get it" when it comes to broaching thorny issues such as sexuality. I need to hear more than just "because God said so."

And Dr. Jackie's book provides some great insight into how you can be sexual, and still be within the bounds of God's edicts. I highly recommend the book!

Finally, a book that reveals the profound secrets of building relationships on a sound foundation. God actually has a plan to save marriages, courtships and God's plan actually makes tremendous sense. Obsessive Sex reveals the essence of happiness in every human being's life in intensely relevant real-life examples. Anyone who has ever been confronted with debilitating romances can look to the formulas this book offers for future success. Common-sense and compassionate approaches to understanding life's hailstorms and the many questions that will challenge us are offered. I have lived through several of the situations this author presents. Obsessive Sex guided me to be comforted and strengthened in the face of my former tragic experiences with mates. I can see my codependency and weakness of heart because I wanted to please someone that could not, and should not have been pleased. This book has shown me God's working-out plan to my salvation from self-indulgence and objectification in my relationships.
