3.0 out of 5 stars A Good Text with a Few Serious Deficiencies (IMHO), April 6, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Obstetric and Gynecological Ultrasound Case Review (Paperback)
I have completed my first run through of the book in preparation for the oral boards and felt over all that this is a good book. It is one of the few concise case based books covering Ob-Gyn Ultrasound. The cases did cover a wide variety of disease that are likely to show up at case conference and/or the oral boards. I have a few criticisms of this text.

1. There is no introductory normal anatomy particularly of the OB section. Nor is there an explanation of a normal fetal survey. Or it's required components by the ACR.

2. There is a general lack of organization. The Ob cases are haphazardly mixed with the Gyn cases, which is how things will be at the orals, but it's nice to be able to study in an organized fashion.

Overall a good book, but with a few serious deficiencies. The authors could review Bill Middleton's excellent case review book on General and Vascular Ultrasound for suggestions regarding the format and anatomy.
