They work great, but don't buy them on sale. I suspect that this pillow sat in a warehouse for a long time (perhaps this is the reason for the great sale price?). The memory foam tends to yellow with age and when I received mine it already had dark yellow blotches on it. I exchanged it for what I hoped would be a better one, but no such luck. Also, the foam seemed rather stiff (also a function of age?) and took a good month of use to soften up and contour to my head and neck as intended. Literature included with the pillow warns of a nasty smell that will dissipate as the product is aired out. This was an understatement! The odor made the pillow initially unusable, but went away after several days of airing and a liberal application of lavender oil. All things considered, I did pay very little for it and I and my cervical spine are very happy with it now.

It was apparent upon immediate receipt that this pillow was not a typical king-sized pillow and was only two inches larger than the standard memory foam contour pillow I already own.
As noted in the other comment, the odor was extremely strong. Though I have not owned this pillow for very long, I made numerous attempts to "air out" this pillow, and the odor remains very strong.
In addition, this is the firmest memory foam pillow I have ever experienced. I'm hoping with time that it will soften, because it certainly can not be used for sleeping in its current state.

Do yourself a favor and forget about purchasing this item. First, there is an odor that will remain for months, never completely disappearing. Second, there was a large stain, probably from poor storage, and its appearance is similar to a stain a poorly trained house pet may leave on the pillow. Third, the material isn't as soft as it's purported to be and due to the firmness, any possible comfort is lost. Just do yourself a favor and pay a bit more at Brookstone for a pillow that's more effective, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. In short, this pillow belongs in a refuse pile that's meant for incineration. You don't want archaeologists of the future to look back on this item in a landfill and believe we were actually stupid enough, especially in this recessionary period, to pay good money because it was less expensive than a pillow of far superior quality.

I ordered 2 of these pillows to replace old ones similar to these, that were soft, old, and needed replacing. I've slept fine on mine, but my husband says the jury's still out for him. They are very hard, but we both have neck and back problems, so we've used this style of pillow for several years now. Just to note, when I ordered the first set (which were another brand) he didn't like that one either, and it took him about a year of me switching between the two, and breaking it in, before he decided it did actually work for him. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I do beleive it does not need to be this hard. But I haven't had any neck or back problems since switching to it.

My doctor suggested a cervical pillow for my arthritis. It actually helps. Now I can sleep through the night without meds. Should have purchased it years ago. This one is well worth the small investment for a night of healing and no neck pain in the morning.

At last a foam pillow that provides excellent neck support and doesn't stink. The price was right and AmericaRX shipped product immediately.

I bought this Obus Forme king sized pillow because I thought it might stop my snoring. I must admit to being surprised that the pillow actually did minimize my night time rattling if not eliminate it completely.

There have been reviews that mentioned the pillow had a strange odor at first. I found that it did give off a smell similar to that of a new carpet or some plastics, but that disappeared in just a few days and was never offensive.

My wife wanted to try my pillow and liked it so much she kept it. I have just ordered a second pillow.

This is the second contour pillow that I have owned and I would never go back to a conventional pillow.
Be warned that it takes some time to get used to the shape of a contour pillow. It took me about a week.
The idea behind the contoured shape is that it allows your head to rest in its natural alignment with your spine rather than tilting up. However everyone has a different sized head and body so it might be a good idea to try before you buy to get the size, contour shape and the firmness that suits you.
My Chiropractor sold me my first contour pilow and matched the size specifically to my body, so I already had some experience and knew around what size pillow would suit me (see the dimensions under the product description).
This pillow uses quality dense memory foam which makes this pillow a good pick. I feel that the King size contoured pillow is worth the little extra you might pay (wider) and it still fits inside a standard pillow case.
