5.0 out of 5 stars Best travel pillow I have ever bought!
I spend a great deal of time traveling and a good travel pillow is priceless. This is the best one I have ever bought! It has a good firmness to it, and the contouring gives you a great 'nook' to put your head into. The memory foam is very resilient and bounces back into shape quickly. The removable cover it a terrycloth material, which is soft and easy to clean. My...

1.0 out of 5 stars Too Big & Bulky!
I bought this Obus Forme Memory Foam Travel (Neck) Pillow for a long flight in coach seating... turned out to be useless and very uncomfortable! It was so big and bulky that it pushed my head forward in the seat, even in the reclined position. It ended up taking up most of the room in my carry-on bag, making it very inconvienent to lug around. What a waste of money and...

It has a good firmness to it, and the contouring gives you a great 'nook' to put your head into. The memory foam is very resilient and bounces back into shape quickly. The removable cover it a terrycloth material, which is soft and easy to clean. My husband and I both have one, and even though there is a great difference in our sizes, we both find it very comfortable. At such a great price, I would recommend it to anyone. It is far superior to any inflatable or bead filled pillow which is all I can usually find at the airports.

Here is what those of us need who get kinks in our neck from falling asleep sitting up. Naturally while traveling and sitting up it's great, but also those of us that it happens to when reading or watching TV, this is great!

What's good about it is the memory foam part! Molds around you. AND it has a metal clip so that you don't get that choking sensation when you pull it up/down of your head like others make you do.

It does have a clean "hospital" like smell when you first get it, but leave it out of the bag for 24 hours and it helps.

Plus it has a zipper so you can take off the outer lining to wash then put it back on and zip it up!

5.0 out of 5 stars the best of them all, March 17, 2007

After years of watching my father fall asleep in his chair, with his head all askew, I purchased one of these for his Christmas. He uses it all the time!!! And I just got one for myself. These truly are the best out there. The clever little snap keeps it in place and makes all the difference in the world. A great product and a great value!

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than the average neck pillow but too stiff for me, August 23, 2007

I bought this for an airplane trip. This is rather substantial and heavy. While it has the memory foam, it is rather stiff and doesn't yield easily, so while your head won't fall sideways, you also don't sink into it either - it is not as cushiony as the ones you buy in the airport (polyfill). I didn't bother with it for the return trip, I just used the headrest that is bendable. Somebody else had an inflatable neck support, so I will try that out next.

But my daughter had all her wisdom teeth out and had to keep her head up for 2 days, so this pillow became her best friend. I have neck and shoulder problems, so that is probably one reason why I didn't like it too well. But my youthful daughter loves it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Little Support, January 17, 2008

I spend a lot of time reading and sitting at my computer and was hoping this pillow would offer substantial support for my neck. It does not. In fact, when the ends are snapped together, the pillow hangs loosely around my size-sixteen neck and the memory foam has no purpose. I haven't taken this pillow on a flight, so it may be more practical when one is sitting on a plane, but it is useless for my needs. Also, the foam has a strong musty odor that some people may not like and was made in China.

My experience was so different from those of other reviewers, who commented on the "hospital like smell," snug fit, and metal clip, that I'm wondering if the product hasn't changed substantially. In any case, an adjustable Velcro fit rather than a one-size-fits-all snap would be a great improvement.

1.0 out of 5 stars This pillow gets grade of "YUCK", December 21, 2008

I wasted $[...] bucks.

Frankly, I don't understand how people could like this "travel" pillow (I am saying "travel" sarcastically). I am a 6-foot tall guy and this pillow was too big for ME on a plane, much less what it would do to a smaller person. Its dimensions are 14-inches side-to-side x 13-inches front-to-back x 4.5-inches deep. This is definitely NOT for women, kids or 99% of men! Elephants maybe. For this pillow to fit, you'd have to be 9-feet tall! On the plane, the pillow was so enormous that it pushed my head forward and gave a serious neckache, so I'd call that "unusable." If I could have thrown it out of the plane's window as a piece of junk (crapola), I would have--that's what I felt like doing. This pillow is so huge that it needed its own dedicated carry-on bag. It doesn't knock-down when not used.

The pillow *might* be okay while prone at home. It is not a travel pillow--it's for home use. I give it the grade of "YUCK." I am donating it to Goodwill. Gonna look for "smaller" and "inflatable"--these cannot be worse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pillow for travel, April 10, 2008

This pillow is much better than the squishy foam kind, especially if you're like me and have neck issues. This one is a bit stiff, but that's exactly what I wanted. The raised sides make it more comfortable, also. It's a little heavier than the useless regular ones, but pick your poison. I would rather have a little heavier pillow that works. Also, the cool thing about the memory foam is that I squished it way smaller into a little bag and clipped the little bag to my backpack. Undo it in the airplane, and poof, back to it's original form in a minute or so.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable travel pillow - better for car travel, September 28, 2007
This review is from: Obus Forme Memory Foam Travel Pillow, Yellow (Health and Beauty)
I bought this pillow based on other reviews I had read, and it is definitely as comfortable as everyone said. I have some neck problems, and it really helped support my neck in a comfortable way (not too stiff). The only problem is how much space it takes up. Since it isn't inflatable, it will take up most of the space in any smallish size bag you take with you. I will definitel use it again, but I think I'll just hook it around the bag so I don't have to take up space in the bag.

The OBUS FORME Memory Foam Travel Pillow

Unfortunately, this product is way too big. The memory foam is lovely, but there's too much of it. I felt like I was being strangled! I was unable to lean my head back comfortably because of the bulk. A great idea but uncomfortably big.
