It's So Obvious,
By Kellie Thompson (West Memphis, Arkansas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Obvious (Audio CD)
4Him is an outstanding group. This recent album "Obvious" proves their talent as well as their relationship with Christ. They continue to prove that no matter how "contemporary" their music is, their platform is still the same - the only way to get to heaven is to first go to the cross. So many contemporary christian artists have lost their focus on who they are supposed to be singing about. Many of them are so conformed to this world instead of being transformed (John 3:17) that you can't tell if they love Jesus or love the world. I have been to many, many concerts and a lot by 4Him. I can honestly say that not many concerts set aside a time to lead you to the Savior like 4Him. I admire them for the stand they take against the world and for the stand they take for Christ. If you don't come away from their concert with a desire to change your life, even for christians, something may be wrong. I praise God for them because they portray that it should be "Obvious" who we live for - Jesus. In the words of Mark Harris from their concert that was recently held in Cordova, TN, "you can't be all you need to be for Christ until you are crucified with Him and give him authority over everything in your life." May God Bless You.

God continues to move through their music ...,
By Juan F. Osegueda (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Obvious (Audio CD)
I have purchased all of 4Him's eight albums, and enjoy every single one, and recommend them to anyone who might be in search of solid, clean, and soul-piercing truths in music. I've been to a couple of their performaces, and have found them to be honest men of God, always quoting the Bible and pleading of the Spirit for direction in everything they do. They are great examples of what it means to combine music and ministry, and not letting how famous they are or how many albums they sell get to their heads and/or let them down. I enjoy singing, too, and am involved in my church choir, and sing 4Him's songs all the time. And even though at times not all things go right for me, the right Christian song for that particular moment really helps in getting me back on my feet. God is great, and through the music of 4Him, is one of the tools that He's using in my life to demonstrate His love to me as a child of God. I believe the ministry of 4Him will continue to be a blessing for the Christian community, and for the secular as well, because it is genuine, and sincere. God moves through their music...and will continue to move, regardless.

I liked this cd.,

I liked this cd. It wasn't my favorite cd, yet, I still enjoyed it. The song "Mystery of Grace" is very pretty, and I also enjoyed the song "Obvious". Those are my two favorite songs on the cd. If you enjoy Christian alternative you probably will like this cd.

They just keep getting better . . . and better . . .,

This is probably 4HIM's best offering to date (and yes, I've got 'em all!). Musically, every song is a little different from the previous ones, and yet as a whole the CD showcases the distinct music style of 4HIM. The lyrics reflect an unashamed awe and love for God. I always have and always will *love* the harmonies that these guys treat me to--each voice is different from the rest, but together they're simply THE BEST! While I love complicated mixes like the song "Obvious," someday I hope a CD of theirs features a completely un-layered song in a capella--just those four awesome voices, singing praise to God. I'll be waiting for it!

4Him has always been a favorite group in my book. They are simply wonderful at harmonizing and all the songs that they sing have such wonderful messages in them. This cd has to be thier best, I think. My favorite is "Before the River came" and "Great Awakening" Though it is hard for me to choose because all the songs are wonderful. If you do not already own this cd, I suggest you buy it now!

I have been listening to 4Him since they were just 4 guys in a group called Truth from Mobile, Alabama. I have seen them in concert at least 10 times, and. I have had them over to a friends house when they were staying next door. I have never heard such an amazing group of vocalist' in my life and I have seen that they live what they sing. This CD is an inspiration to me as all of their others were. If you don't have it yet go get it and you will be blessed. God Bless!

The best from the BEST!,

I have been a 4Him fan since the beginning. I have all of their CD's which I cannot say about any other artist. When I listened to this album the first time, I was so overwhelmed by the power of the lyrics and music that I nearly had to turn the CD player off. The album shows the amazing versatility of the group. There's nothing old here. "Who's at the Wheel?" is a lot of fun. "Let the Lion Run Free" is another favorite. Don't take my word for it. Buy it and be blessed!

Incredible,
By A Customer
This review is from: Obvious (Audio CD)
I have been a fan of this group for several years now, and had all of their previous CD. I was very excited about the release of Obvious, but I didn't really believe they could improve on their past CD, The Message. I was wrong. I love this CD from beginning to end. It makes ordinary everyday life special when you can listen to something as extraordinary as these four incredible voices. The lyrics are both encouraging and challenging, and the music is, well, indescribable - you have to hear it. And in case you were wondering, Mark, Marty, Kirk and Andy really do live what they sing. The only other thing I can say is buy the CD.

My wife, 3 1/2 year old son, and I listen to this CD constantly. We have been 4Him fans for many years and this is, without a doubt, their finest work to date. The lyrics are heartfelt and moving, the music well-mixed, and the message one that will leave the listener greatly blessed.
