And more than a few must be chewed quite slowly, before they can be taken all in. As with any buffet, of course, what you choose (and what you chew!) is altogether up to you, but don't be afraid to try something new. Flip through this volume and read what you want. Then, if you wish, return for a second helping or more. This is, after all, what Jimmy Buffett would do. When all is read and done, you'll surely recognize The Occasional Margareader for what it's meant to be; namely, nothing less than food for thought.

If you are a Bufett fan, you will like this book. I have read all JB's books and many of the books he has referenced in his writing and music. I thought I had probably read anything that would be included in this book. I was half right. There is a long list of authors well known to frequent Buffett readers included in this book, but many likely to be new to you.

The editor did a great job of introducing the book and each author included in the book. If you ever wanted to read the books Jimmy Buffett references, this book is a good place to start. The book conations a wide variety of topics and some chapters are pure entertainment.
