From Library Journal
This compendium of reminiscences by contemporaries of the founder of Theosophy in 1875 provides a fascinating portrait of the mysterious occultist. While the vignettes were gathered mostly from sources currently available, the chronological compilation affords a unique overview of her life and methods of work. Blavatsky's output was prodigious, and includes the classics Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine . As well as being very readable, the book is an excellent introduction to a major figure in occultism and a lesson to modern channelers. The bibliographies are especially helpful.
