We purchased this for our 4.5 year old in Dec 2004. 48 pieces were a bit beyound him then, but he mastered all the puzzles within 12 weeks. He is still doing them a year later. The publisher shoul consider bringing out other high quality and higher piece count puzzles.

I got this last Christmas for my 4 year old son, and it was a bit beyond him. Recently he has become completely adoring of this book, and looks for opportunities to work the puzzles. I wish the publisher had more out! These are great.

I'm not really qualified to review this book of puzzles because I haven't seen the product yet, but the speed of delivery was phenomenal; and my granddaughter, who received it on her birthday was delighted with it. Other reviews indicated that this product was purchased for very young children, but my granddaughter is bright (of course!), in 6th grade, artistic, and an animal lover, so it was just her cup of tea!

My daughter got this book for her 4th birthday & LOVES it! The pictures are beautifully done, the puzzles fit together wonderfully, & each page includes a little bit of info about the animals/mammals within the puzzle. The reverse side of the puzzles are color-coded to help prevent from the pieces from getting mixed up. Very sturdy contruction. Wish there were more JUST like this one!

It was great to find puzzle books with 48 pieces. My 4 year old is now bored with the 24 pieces, so this should keep her happy for quite some time!

We bought this for our 3 year old to move her on from 24 bit puzzles and she is already mastering them. These books are great for teaching shapes, colors, coordination and logic. A great buy for Advanced 3 year old and upwards.

My husband and I had a great time doing these interesting puzzles with my 4-year-old. There are five 48-piece jigsaws:
Whales, dolphins and porpoises
Coral reef dwellers
Monsters of the Deep
Sharks, skates and Rays
Creatures of the Polar Sea

Each jigsaw also comes with labels for the sea creatures/ocean dwellers portrayed on the pages. The last page depicts the seashore and the animals/birds that populate it.

Besides being fun, these jigsaws are educational. We love doing them over and over as we read out the names of the creatures. Highly recommended!

This also was bought for my grandson, 3, and he is just now beginning to put puzzles together. I look forward to many happy times with all the puzzles we've bought for him.

The colors in this puzzle book are wonderful, the pictures sharp and clear. Just fabulous. Highly recommend, especially if your little/or young person is "into" puzzles!
