I bought this item on a whim, needing another Wii remote. I'm a big Dr Who fan, so I thought this one would be perfect. I was a little turned off by the high price, but there is a reason for the price. No one mentions in the item description that the remote has a built in battery the recharges though the usb on the Wii, with a provided mini usb cord. This is great, no batteries needed out of the box, just charge and use. The remote holds a good charge for over 12 hours. I am very happy with the quality and sturdiness of the remote. It is a little bigger that the normal remote, but its fine once you get used to the size. An awesome addition to my Wii accessories. I might even buy another one because of how cool and useful the remote is.

It seems to be lighter weight than a regular Wii controller. I've read complaints about hitting the home button by mistake. The buttons are raised much, so I don't see how they're doing it. My only complaint is that it doesn't work well with my cordless nunchuck and sometimes have problems with the corded nunchuck. For me it's more comfortable to hold/grip than a regular controller.

This is a great replica, very similar in size to the prop replica I have, but a little bit bigger than a standard Wiimote. The only disappointment is that there is no sonci-y light/sound function.

I purchased this Sonic Screwdriver Wii Remote for my grandfather for his birthday. We both love Doctor Who and watch it quite often on Netflix. The remote arrived sooner than expected and has been alot of fun to use. It's cool because when you see the Eleventh Doctor use his Sonic Screwdriver you feel a bit of pride like, "I have one of those."
My grandfather hates batteries and likes that this has a charger. He doesn't lose the remote because its always either next to his chair or next to the Wii charging. I haven't noticed any decline in user time and I've had the remote for nearly 5 months.
Overall, I liked the product. The charger was actually more convenient than hinder-some. The weight and size is actually more comfortable to me than a normal Wii remote, and I'm considering buying one for my new place.

Truthfully....we got two of these for Christmas and, until about two hours ago when I finally did a search on the Nintendo Wii site, we couldn't get these gems to work. The site, however, said you have to sync remotes to your Wii system. (Give me a break....we've never had a Wii, bought a 2nd hand one, and have had to figure the thing out from scratch since we didn't get the manual!) Having said all of that, once we figured out how to sync these new remotes, they work like a dream!! As big Dr. Who fans, we are delighted with them! Would highly recommend them....now if they'd come up with a Dr. Who Wii game worthy of them!!

The sonic screwdriver remote is awesome. Definitely for the Whovian in all of us. The remote was quick to arrive and I didn't even pay for expidited shipping. Everytime I play against one of my friends they try to get it first but like we all know The Doctor always has it on him. I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I do.

Blue Ocean Doctor Who Remote was a gift for my grandaughter. She was very happy with it. Sight said it would not arrive until after Christmas, but it arrived in time to give as a gift.

Let's put it this way, I'm 7x3x2 plus and I love my sonic screwdriver Wii controller. I think it's simply the best.

So bought this in the UK for 25 pounds. Which is roughly 36 dollars, Anyone who pays more than 50 dollars for this is being scammed. Awesome Item though. Has it's own rechargeable battery.
