This is a great show. I remember when i younger,watching this on the Disney Channel In the usa. In this series Neri searches for more clues about where you came from .Then she discovers she has a sister called Mera. If you loved the first season . I recommend you buy the second season. This a great show that is finally on dvd for us to enjoy.

As stated in the title of my review, Ocean Girl is a really cool show. A sci-fi based in the future, where some boys living in an underwater research center discover a mer girl from another planet. Very good storyline, acting, photography and special effects And from what I can tell, the show has a lot of fans, many in the US, also. So the only reason why I must give this four stars is because it was never released in the US and from what I understand, never will be. I just don't understand why we have so many retarted little movies released all the time here in the US, instead of something cool and actually interesting like this!

I liked Season One of Ocean Girl so when I found #2 available at an Australian DVD site I ordered my copy (wasn't listed at Amazon then). On viewing the DVD I found that there were several cast changes and a few story tweaks (Neri's ship is buried at a different location on the island and isn't a total wreck)but in general the stories are just as good as first season. I noticed The Disney Channel listed in the show credits for this season (they did the U.S. broadcast)and there was the appearance of quite a bit more money being spent on production.

The image transfer is very good, the sound is good, still no subtitling or captioning and no extras this time around. Amazon's description says the DVD is NTSC format- it's actually PAL format.

If you liked the series and have season one you'll want this one too- it's worth owning. Remember to shop around for prices too.

Come on why not A usa formatted dvd of this show??? This stinks..come on whoever is in charge - anyone who ever watched this on Disney channel here - like myself - still thinks about it - and wants it released here too not just austraila!

I loved this series as a kid and would look forward to watching it each weekend. Years later the show still looks good and is as enjoyable as I remember it. It's a pity it has never been released for region 1 (USA) but if you are like me and can buy a region free player or can convert your DVD player to region free then I recommend buying the seris, whither your a fan of Aussie TV, you watched the show as a kid or are looking for a great series to show you kids (because lets face it American TV just doesn't have the programing it used to) you'll enjoy this DVD set.

I bought this for my granddaughter so she could watch it. It was a really great series that I wish was available in U.S. region format. I hate the fact that dvd's are not in a universal format so kids can see something other than murder and cussing and other things that kid shouldn't be seeing. I bought a region free dvd player to play this and not be limited on what I can see. I watched the series which lasted 4 seasons and it is about saving our oceans with a twist. I loved it and I was in my 30's when it originally aired on Disney. It is a good story and if you like the mermaid alien, animal connection type this is for you. It is good for all ages and worth spending time with your kids to see. Buy it its very good and we loved it.
