About the Actor
Scuba divers have voted Cozumel, Kona and the Great Barrier Reef as three of the premier underwater environments in the world. Each area is unique in the seascape it presents with differences in soft corals, hard corals and animals readily apparent in these videos.
Underwater Cozumel - The reefs of Cozumel, Mexico are known for their currents. Glide past a swimming seahore, a tilefish tending his burrow and reef life forming on a scuttled navy vessel.
The Great Barrier Reef - This is the world's largest living reef. Meet some of the creatures that thrive in pristine landscapes of pastel coral, sea fans and sponges in the Coral Sea.
Underwater Kona - Turtles groomed by yellow tangs, free-swimming eels, an octopus peeking out from behind a coral head - all common scenes off the coast of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
Night Mantas - Lights pointing to the surface, divers sit on the sea bed awaiting manta rays. Soon the ballet begins. Mantas looping gracefully, scooping up plankton. Awesome... surreal....
The peace and serenity that divers feel while swimming with the fish and the unexpected pleasure that comes from discovering a rarely seen animal or it's unique behaviors are what bring us back to the underwater world. Relax and take an ocean safari with me.
