The material is what you would expect from a typical textbook. Though, there are no sections for questions or review after each chapter.
A good book overall if you want scholastic detail and analysis of the region. However, the pictures, photographs and maps contained in the book are scant and printed in black and white leaving the reader to use other media to supplement their reading of the material.
