Here is a sweet story with appealing characters. Maria, the English girl who never left her village, and can't say NO when asked to help others, baby-sit, cook, paint,... and Dino Rossellini, the dashing singer who mesmerizes crowds with his voice and his charm. How can Maria not fall in love with the man every woman wants? And yet, how can she keep him, knowing his commitments, career, and glamorous life demand he leaves her? Would Dino dare to give up his triumphal success for true love?
What a fantastic conflict between two protagonists so deeply attracted, yet tortured by their attraction. Helen Scott-Taylor weaves a lovely tale with her smooth style, emotional dialogues, and subtle sensual tension. I highly recommend it.

I got this book and thought, "I don't know about this book, it might not be what I thought it to be." It was much more!! I loved it!! Another one of my vacation & lazy day reads that made me feel happy and elated for the characters!!

The story starts out with Dino finding out some hard news, and needs solitude to think about his past and his future. So he goes to a cottage like home in the coastal region that gives him exactly what he wanted, solitude and time to think, plus much more! When Maria sees this man she knows immediately that something is plaguing him. But she wonders what, so she makes it her goal to figure it out and attempt to fix whatever is plaguing him. They both find that what they thought they wanted is not what they wanted at all. They find dreams, even through all of the bumps in the road.

If you want a heartfelt and lovely book, that makes you smile, this is your book...

Opposites attract in this terrific book! Wow, an incredibly well written tale of two people from different sides of the track- the hero a wealthy Italian, the heroine a penniless servant- but the sparks and the romance fly. Helen Scott Taylor hit this out of the ballpark- a wonderful book sure to be a bestseller. Get it now. I highly recommend Oceans between us:)

Her published works have been finalists in a number of contests including the Holt Medallion, the Lories, the Prism Contest, the Write Touch Award and the Maggies.

Helen lives in South West England near Plymouth in Devon between the windswept expanse of Dartmoor and the rocky Atlantic coast. As well as her wonderful long-suffering husband, she shares her home with two Shih Tzus and an aristocratic chocolate-shaded-silver-burmilla cat who rules the household with a velvet paw. She believes that deep within everyone there's a little magic.
