Some Big Problems,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Octagon Gun Clock Dark Oak, DARK OAK (Misc.)
The clock looks good in my hall However the were a couple of problems initally. The Second hand got hung up on the minute hand. The clock stopped until I disassembled it and bent the second hand.
The second problem is with the magnetic latch. It did not cover both magnets. I moved the strike plate but the magnets are still too weak. Lastly, the cheap clock mechanism stopped working some of the time. It wasn't right even twice a day! I called the company, and was told to return the clock and a replacement would be sent. They sent a prepaid UPS label and I returned the clock. After UPS had notified me of the arrival of the item at the seller, they refunded my purchase price (less the shipping charge) but refused to send me another clock. The customer service representative told me to go back to Amazon and order another one (and pay shipping again).

Beware of the white anchors and screws that come with this clock. The holes for the anchor where the screw goes into is too small. Thus when you think you have finished mounting the clock to the wall; you have not. The anchors spin out of the wall from the tension caused by the screw hole on the anchor is about 1/8th of an inch too small. The end result is that you will encounter 3 really nasty holes in your wall left by the white anchors and no clock mounted to the wall. It is really a shame too because the clock itself is a nice quality for the price. This is so typical of hardware that comes with these type of clocks made in China. Best thing to do now is go to the local hardware an purchase good quality anchors and heavy duty screws that match. That is the end state. The manufacturer needs to make the requirement change of the included hardware is all to fix the problem. The instructions were crude pictures and arrows. In addition...We have had our clock for 2 weeks. It is a beautiful clock but they installed a cheap Taiwan clock mechanism and now it doesn't work properly. The second hand gets stuck. I am so disappointed because the clock itself looks like a nice value and made pretty well. Why they went cheap on the clock mechanism makes no sense at all. What good is a clock if it cannot keep time despite the fact that you can conceal a firearm in the clock. It brings attention to itself by not working. What is the point of that if you are attempting to conceal a firearm. The "DAH" factor is unbelievably stupid.

Gun Clock review,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Found the clock to be just as advertised. Plenty of room for a revolver or semi. I did upgrade the anchors that came with the clock. The ones you get are a bit small. Overall, it was a good deal for the money and I would buy it again if I needed another one.
