I was using the type of bow stringer that went on the tips of the bow. I experienced all the same problems others have had, that the small hood got in the way of the grooves on the bow limb. I was forced to put the hood close to the end of the tip which seemed really unsafe. It seemed like a bad idea considering how much pressure the bow limbs were under. Well, I should have followed my instincts. The hood slipped off and I was cracked in the forehead with the rebounding limb. After that I did some research and found the OMP Flex Pro and upon watching a Youtube video that demonstrated how to use it, I ordered it. It arrived 3 days earlier than predicted and works perfectly. I can finally string my bow with confidence. This is a great product. I use an OMP Smokey Mountain Hunter with the 50 pound draw at 28 inch limbs and it fits on the bow securely.

Works great! You'll want to watch a YouTube video on how to use this properly (if you don't know how already) after watching I was easily able to string my first recurve since I was a kid.

I had a different stringer that was not working too well with my Mongolian bow, but this one does the trick very well. The split design compared to the three fingered design seats on a non-flat surface much better. Less strain on the bow's limbs and your own trying to string and unstring.

looks like its made well.

I have issues stringing my traditional recurve bow, because the limb clamps will not fit vary well on the far ends of the limbs.

this issue is not with the product but with the type of stringer I bought, and the design of my particular bow.

Had no idea how to string my daughter's bow. As soon I got this, I had the bow easily strung in 2 minutes.

Seems a little harder to use then the standard type. The large end goes so far down the bow that it is harder to pull the bow to be able to latch the string. If I learn to use it better I will update.

I have seen where some people can get this product to work. For me, I have had no luck. It installs on the bow no problem, but because of the way it does, when you go to flex the bow, it just slides down to a position where it no longer works. Definitely not happy with this product at all.

Best stringer I've ever used, good design, doesn't stress at the tips of limbs. Must have for any recurve archers. Because of the design of the clips I won't say its good for traditional longbows or horsebows due to their cylindrical design. Not saying it won't, but I shoot recurve and compound so I couldn't say one way or the other.
