2007 release from the Isle of Wight's finest, their third album overall. In the U.S., The Bees had to change their name to Band Of Bees to avoid confusion with a U.S. based band with the same name. Following on from 2004's critically acclaimed Free The Bees, Octopus sees the Bees in top form with an eclectic mix of acoustic, Psychedelic and melodic songs described by the band as 'A joyous blend of the first two albums'. And so far, Octopus has received unanimous support from their fans and has critics across Europe buzzing it's praises! 10 tracks including the first , 'Who Cares What the Answer Is' and the stellar Afro-Beat jam, 'Got to Let Go'. Never heard note one from these guys but picked up the album after its good review in Esquire. What a great reccomendation. Start to finish this album is phenominal. Lots of different sounds but a coherent theme of bad assness throughout.

Leaving the beach late at night? Driving along less than crowded streets at sundown with the window open? Then this is perfect for you. In the tradition of English bands who love their dub (or anything from a guy Ritchie movie). These guys layer 60's pop/ 70's soul and 80's raggae into a new shiny product that is pleasingly arranged.

This is very 'cool' music.
