It holds the phone perfectly and is very sturdy.

You can wrap the legs around anything pretty much, even a slipper surface (like a doorknob), and it holds perfectly!
Eunice
This is a great way to mount a cell phone camera on a tripod or monopod.

Ive now had this for a good part of a year and it's still as good as when i originally bought it! This tripod is used to film all of my amazon.com reviews and it does a great job. I've come up with so many creative places to attach this too!

A few of my friends have seen this and bought it for their amazon reviews as well and they really love it. If you're in the market for an inexpensive tripod, this works wonders!!

So I have now had this tripod for about a month and I still am blown away by it. I actually laugh at the fact that $6 bought me something so great! I have made a lot of videos with the thing and also taken a lot of pictures. My favorite thing is to use my iPod headphones and click the '+' button to take a picture. This makes sure that the camera does not get bumped causing unnecessary blurring of photos.

If you want to truly see how good of picture your camera takes, you have to use a tripod because your hands do not have the ability to hold the camera still so the processor in your camera is constantly adapting to your movement. Why do you like professionals use tripods?

Please give this a shot and you will not be disappointed!

I have had this tripod for about a week and i love it! It has made my amazon video reviews so much easier to do because i can use both of my hands. One thing i found nice is the removal of the legs like i talked about in the video.

The portable tripod is awesome and works well. It wraps around all kinds of stuff, is easy to use and easy for kids to handle. I like it over the straight leg tripod, which have plastic slippery feet and require a flat surface. The Case Star has soft rubber feet that grip well to any flat surface if there is nothing to wrap it around.

Only two minor issues:
1. I think the threaded piece that holds the bracket to the tripod together should be handled gingerly. It feels like it might strip easily. I would tighten it gently, not remove the bracket very often if at all and check to make sure it is secure, where you can't see the threads.
2. The little rubber thumb tab at the top is more necessary for holding the phone, iPhone, iPod touch, whatever, than it is for pulling up on the holding bracket. In fact, I would recommend pulling on the metal. We bought 7, 2 for us and the rest for neighborhood kids, who are constantly making little movies, or VideoStar masterpieces. My daughter pulled the rubber tab out and lost it almost immediately.

WITHOUT THE RUBBER TAB, THE BRACKET IS USELESS. I made a make-shift grip with some black electrical tape, and it works fine. I think Plasti Dip would work as well. [...]. I have some in both spray and dip forms and will try it.

nice tripod and phone holder for low price. it works good with galaxy s3. if you use s3 in the case, holder reach the limit, but still you can put your phone in it. 1/4 inch threaded mount allow you to put your phone on any other tripod. cheap price, great product!

I ordered my tripod on jan 9th and on jan 12th, right when I thought my package would be late, a delivery person came at around 9:00 PM so the shipping gets 4/5 stars. My package came in very easy to open packaging which made me worry a bit about the quality of the product. The tripod was amazingly easy to setup and literally was ready to use out of the box with an adaptor to just screw into the tripod. I loved the way the tripod twisted and grappled onto things. The joints In between each ball pivot were fairly hard to turn but overall gives stability. On jan 13th, only the day after I started using it. The main pivot broke while I was trying to turn it. Overall the quality was mediocre, but the plastic material just couldn't handle the force of the turning and twisting that was neccasary to get the product into different positions. I'd like a new one if possible and hopefully it won't break within 24 hours. I'm overall satisfied with my product's functionality but very disappointed with the quality.

Ok, my samsung captivate glide reaches 720p video resolution. But still good enough and has a superb quality so I don't want to buy a videocamera. My samsung does the job, so it was time to get a tripod for it.

The reason I got this particular tripod over other tripods was because it fits any phone no matter how thick it is. My samsung captivate glide is very fat with an extended battery installed. So, this tripod is the only one that (at this price point) will work. And it just worked fine.

Other tripods don't take into consideration the thickness of the phone, they assume modern phones to be superslim. They take much more into consideration the size of the phone. This tripod won't fit a 7" tablet for example.

Negative points:
-The spring inside of it is too strong. I have to use both hands to be able to push the top and then have a hard time inserting the phone. None of us have a third hand to do it with ease

-Somewhat cheap build quality, but not so fatal to take a star away. This is still 5 stars due to functionality, and of course, price.
