About the Author
Pat Gaines worked twenty-two years in the Lincoln County, Oklahoma courthouse until her retirement in 2003. She and her husband have two grown children and three grandchildren. Publications include the non-fiction book "The Journal of Amos Hannah" (released in 2005) and the children's picture book "O. O. Octopus: Sheriff of Blue Ribbon Sound" (released in 2008).

What a delightful book for youngsters! The author's presentation of the 'good vs evil' dilemma is introduced to young readers in an understandable and entertaining way. The illustrations compliment the story well and their bright colors would keep the attention of even pre-readers.
