Book Description

Leading up to the highly anticipated arrival of Odd Apocalypse this summer, catch up with Odd Thomas in Odd Interlude, a special three-part eBook series by #1 bestselling master of suspense Dean Koontz! Here is the spine-tingling 72-page second installment of this super-charged stand-alone Odd adventure.

THERE’S ROOM AT THE INN. BUT YOU MIGHT NOT GET OUT.

Nestled on a lonely stretch along the Pacific coast, quaint roadside outpost Harmony Corner offers everything a weary traveler needs—a cozy diner, a handy service station, a cluster of cottages . . . and the Harmony family homestead presiding over it all. But when Odd Thomas and company stop to spend the night, they discover that there’s more to this secluded haven than meets the eye—and that between life and death, there is something more frightening than either.

Includes a preview of the next thrilling novel in Dean Koontz’s acclaimed Odd Thomas series: Odd Apocalypse!

“Koontz gives his character wit, good humor, a familiarity with the dark side of humanity—and moral outrage.”—USA Today

“The nice young fry cook with the occult powers is Koontz’s most likable creation . . . candid, upright, amusing and sometimes withering.”—The New York Times

“Suspense, tension, and surprising plot twists . . . Characters and the search for meaning, exquisitely crafted, are the soul of his work. . . . One of the master storytellers of this or any age.”—The Tampa Tribune

Odd continues to explore the evil presence within Harmony Corner in this second of three segments to the story. More back story is revealed and Odd begins to take his stand against the unseen intruder poisoning this coastal hamlet. This story is only available as an ebook and is a must for any Odd Thomas fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Harmony...Anything but June 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This second installment is more engrossing than the 1st. Harmony Corner is anything but harmonious. Koontz literally sneaks up behind us and pulls us in with no intention of letting us go. We are introduced to wonderful characters in this new debacle Odd finds himself in. Jolie has spark and fire. You cant help but love her. Koontz, as usual, finds ways to meld humor and thrill together. I cant wait for #3.

Very good second part with a great cliffhanger. Odd Thomas skirts the world of another great Koontz character. The way this one ends certainly leaves you thinking about what comes next.

Another brilliantly written Odd Thomas book by Koontz. No one builds characters like Koontz, and Odd and his companions continue to thrill readers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not so odd story. September 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Odd Thomas Kindle stories, Odd Interludes, 1, 2 and 3 were not very original or fresh. I really like the Odd Thomas character but it seems like Dean Koontz took a lovable character and put him in a retread story.

1.0 out of 5 stars irritated September 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am upset with the format of making me read a very short portion of a story that makes you buy another book to find out what happens.
I have stopped reading this series due to this problem.
I pay my money and expect the have a whole book.
They fooled me once to go onto this book to find out what happens and then only to be put off again.
They will not fool me again.
