I was disappointed in this book. its a small book, with cartoon like drawings and a few color photos in the center of the book. I truly didnt know it was written for kids[ comes with a couple of funtime quizes]. Its not a horrible book, just not great for an adult.

This book should be evaluated on what it is. It is a small ,more of a booklet than a book.It is published by Scholastic,and is only 86 pages.It is intended for "Youth" readers,and meant to give young readers an idea of what Ripley's is all about.It is almost all B&W and printed on newspaper quality paper.The examples are all short, but typical of what is found in the daily Ripley's cartoon found in some newspapers and on the "net"
There is one difference in that it has quite a few "Brainbusters" .In these you are presented with 4 unbelievably strange statements.In each, only one is false.You are challenged to find the false one.Personally,I did not care for or enjoy these brainbusters,besides too many of them were included.Many years ago,Ripley's published a game based on this same concept.
Ripley's has been publishing Believe It or Not! since 1933 and has,and still does, publish many fine books.
There are many wonderful Ripley Museums around the country,and they are excellent.
So take this book for what it is,nothing more than an introduction.

I got the book and it was smaller then I expected. I mean I thought it would of been the size of a "normal" book, but it wasnt. However, the book is very good and fun for kids! I got it for a Christmas present and I hope he'll be happy with it. What I mean is you know how kids like "big" things, this is just really small. Im sure he will like the facts :)O yea and its not in color. Only the bonus pages are color and thats only 6 pages

Ripley's Believe it or not Odd-Inary Peopleis a Great Book. It keeps you at the edge of your seat so be ready for these unusual but cool facts. This book has has so many facts on unusual people but believe me, this is something you've to read. You will be amazed on how many facts are in this great book. So do you believe it, or maybe not? You will never know untill you read it.
