Comment: This book has already been loved by someone else. It MIGHT have some wear and tear on the edges, have some markings in it, or be an ex-library book. Over-all it is still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

What I love about this book, is how helpful it is. Chapters are broken down by regions of Minnesota. Throughout the chapter, it lists quirky, interesting sights to see and a little write-up of each one. At the end of the chapter, it shows you a map, with the cities marked on there along with the tourist sight given in the book. So for example, on the map of Northeast MN, it'll show you exactly where International Falls is and under the town's name, tell you what is there of interest - Big Thermometer and Smokey the Bear statue.

It's a quick & fun read, but also one of the most helpful tourist books I've looked at to help me decide where to stop in MN. A lot of the books I've looked at, just list sights in no real particular order, or they group things in relation to eachother (fish statues), but then you have to research yourself where everything is, and if it's even close to where you happen to be traveling. I highly recommend this book and am excited to get more of the Oddball series of books!

Lots of nice fodder for weekend trips if you live in Minnesota or nearby, but I found too much emphasis on tacky oversized fiberglass sculptures, just like the one pictured on the cover. Are we really that boring? Maybe. However, I think the average citizen will find enough of interest to justify the purchase.
