This is a fun book if you enjoy the various nuances of words and literature. C.C. Bombaugh has compiled an array of the odd and curious in language. I have had a copy of this book for over 20 years and enjoy going back time and time again to wander through its pages. From alphabetical whims to the Bible and much, much more, it is a treat to just pick a page or section and savor the information provided. It is both enlightening and fun. I wish that the book would be reprinted as I am on the verge of wearing out my copy.
