5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating!, November 25, 2005

As an avid player of the Odds'R board game by the same author, I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of the book of the same name. I was not disappointed. My family, friends and I have already spent many an evening quizzing eachother with the seemingly endless number of amusing and interesting questions and answers in the book. Further, I must admit that I also read excerpts from the book on occassion when I feel a need to amuse myself and take a break from the 'real world'. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great gift or to amuse and entertain themselves and others. Kudos to the author and his researchers for identifying the myriad of fascinating items and presenting them in such an amusing way. 'Odds R' that I will purchased the sequel to this as well, if one evers comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your run-of-the-mill trivia book!, November 2, 2005
This review is from: Odds 'R (Paperback)
Odds'R is a fantastic off-the-wall book filled with truly useful and unusual information. The chapters are laid out in a Q&A format that makes for an easy and fun read. I especially enjoyed the insightful and often hilarious analysis in the answers.

Oh, and unlike other books of this kind, the answers aren't printed upside-down (or microscopically) at the bottom of the page. The questions appear on the right side and the answers appear on the left--you just flip the page and there they are, same size and everything!

I first noticed it at Borders in the puzzle section (not sure why its shelved there) where I was shopping for my sudoku-crazed wife. Now she's hooked on Odds'R! I hope they come out with another edition soon--she looks hungry...

This is a great book to take on road trips or the train to work. I believe it will find its way into several stockings this year.

5.0 out of 5 stars I bought 2 copies for friends and a third for myself!, January 2, 2006

A friend of mine recommended this fun book to me as a great Christmas present. After checking it out, I went back and ordered another for myself. My wife read it out loud to me as we were driving back from visiting my inlaws over the holiday (no, she was not driving, I was). It really helped the time fly by. A great quiz book for someone who thinks they know everything.
