5.0 out of 5 stars rocking
Both of the oddworld games are the best I have ever played.
They get better and harder all the time. The secret areas are great and really fun to find.
I was really looking forward to the next abe adventure and was devastated to see that it came out for x - box and not playstation. Abe is pretty much the only game I play so WHY WHY WHY can't munch's odessy...

1.0 out of 5 stars sneak around. Hey look...a guy...saved him...sneak around...
I just can't believe Abe's Odyssey got a sequel! I've never played any game as boring and as repetitive as this. Sure the animation sequences are good and slightly funny. Its gotten good reviews so far but I just found the game so bad! I bought the first one, but then sold it back to the store. Then when the second one came out, I decided to rent it one day and it...

Oddworld has always been one of my favorites. There is no game like it, and come on how can you not like a funny lil' dude that goes around farting......Classic.

Abe's Exoddus is an excellent game. I saved ALL 300 MUDOKONS. The ones that people are having a hard time finding all the mudokons, look for the little pile of green bottles that are in some of the scenes. At the beginning of the game, there is a bucket of bones. Check that spot (hint: stand beside it and push the down button.) That's all the info I'm giving because I don't want to spoil the fun. I enjoy playing this game. Good luck.

This game is beautiful and the story very interesting. I laughed so much! The emphasis is on the characters emotions and good deeds not on killing stuff. I loved this game!

5.0 out of 5 stars A 2nd AWESOME puzzle game in that Great New (Odd)World!, March 22, 2010

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (Video Game)
Abe's Oddworld games are some of the Great Games to have ever come out, and the sequel to Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (being this game: Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus) helped cement that fact. It is not enough to even call them "classics". They're not only absolute top quality puzzle-style games, but they have great stories, unique and original characters and settings, and beautiful graphics. And just the originality of that beautiful new world, "mythology", and those fantastic concepts make these games a cut above the rest!

Why are they "Great"? They're real puzzle games. Not that there's always one solution, or a right or wrong way to do things, but it is a game that focuses on technique, creative thinking, finesse, and (sometimes) quick reflexes. There is no life bar; the game doesn't focus on that, or combat, it focuses on simply being able to figure out a solution and being able to execute it. And it's fun, not boring and repetitive, but also very challenging. And you have unlimited lives, which makes for playing with friends a lot of fun as you can pass around the controller to see who has the best ideas and skills. It is as much fun to watch as it is to play.

One of the original concepts behind the game was that the main character was supposed to be "non-violent", but that isn't entirely the case as there is violence of a sort. The main character just isn't directly violent. But this is one of the highlights of the game, not a detraction (as I, and most gamers, would normally consider it to be). You can't just plow your way through levels: you have to think, watch, time your actions, and adapt to the challenges. But, when you do get those few opportunities to just gun your way through a level (or fart, as it may be), it only makes it that much more fun.

And the game is tight. The controls are very well done. You can easily master the fast maneuvers to co-ordinate with the necessary actions and specific spacing needed. You'll get frustrated in some hard areas, but you will be able to play fast and risky (just kind of show off) or you can play slow and cautious. It's all up to you and if you want to take your time and get through it with as few attempts as possible or if you want to just try to fly through an area and risk killing yourself a lot. Sometimes luck favors the brave.
And the game environment is solid. A very well done and/or tested. I don't recall ever finding anything that was glitchy.

If you like quality puzzle-focused games that have straight-forward challenges (the game doesn't scale or do anything cheap to mess with you - try to "make the game more challenging"), and enjoy a good storyline (with great humor that doesn't take away from the game), you really should check out Abe in Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee if you haven't already). It is a really great game that is nothing but quality. This is definitely one of those rare games worth owning and replaying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game Worth The Money, October 9, 2001
This review is from: Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (Video Game)
I bought this game because my cousin had the first one. I played it once and i was hooked. Great graffics and gameplay. Definetly worth every penny. If you are looking for a strategy game where you have to use your head or just want the sequal, BUY IT!!!!!! The only bad things are when youre getting chased by evil monsters YOU'VE GOT TO KNOW THE BUTTONS!!! and speaking is hard at first but you'll get used to it.

This game is a great puzzle/platformer. If you're expecting Mario, look elsewhere. Abe's Exodus is for more mature players with longer attention spans. The puzzles are good and the characters are funny. Gamespeak and chanting is a cool feature. The sound and graphics are superb. At this price, you can't go wrong.

Yet again, another top game from Oddworld Inhabitants.More impressive FMV and in-game graphics and hilarious gameplay which will keep you hooked for hours although a bit too similar to Abe's Oddysee.
