I love her work, the intensity without noise, the darkness with lightness of being, and the ethereal world created through her poetic imagination that is by no measure tenuous. One cannot help but think how very prolific and formidable of a songwriter that she is while listening to her lovely, rich voice fill your ears, colored to every emotion, purely hypnotic.
I listen to these songs in their entirety as I do with all of her collections, I think perhaps even more so than Victorian America. However, it could be because I thought I would never have another set of songs that I could listen to on end as I did, but I do now. Emily Jane White is truly an artist of profound merit.

I discovered Emily Jane White on Pandora, and was immediately intrigued by what is to me one of the best female voices out there today. I'm a sucker for strings, so having that beautiful, haunting voice backed by strings and other percussion made me rush out to by one of her albums. I've started with this album (her latest), but am working my way back through her other albums.
Ode to Sentience is definitely worth your time. I think it's just a matter of time until this artist hits it big, but if you wait until then, you'll be missing out on some outstanding albums.
