A great meal substitute,

I was looking for something that I could eat for breakfast that would give me a good start to the day without causing a huge jump in my blood sugar level and keep me feeling content until lunch. I had been eating Zone bars - but I think this does a better job of keeping my blood sugar on the straight and narrow. Oh - I also like the way it tastes. 16 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber and no refined sugars. Who could ask for more?

Tastes better than others,

These bars are not as bad as other protein bars that I have tasted. The granola is flavorful and not masked by the soy protein infusion - I recommend these bars as a snack in between meals, they hold me over while out on patrol and/or convoys (I'm in Iraq for awhile) and the guys in my unit also like the bars.
The bad thing is delivery - Amazon does not deliver these to APO/FPO addresses, even though the boxes are located in the continental U.S. - I have to have these shipped to my wife, who in turn re-packages them and sends them on to me. It adds a few weeks to the process.

I love the Odwalla Super Protein Bar's. The taste is good, and they are made out of real food, I think these are as "unprocessed" as a meal replacement bar can get. They are not as delicious as Zone bars, and not as filling as Muscle Milk, but because of the safety issues with the latter and expense/unhealthy ingredient issues with the former, I've been looking for an alternative with plenty of protein, and these fit the bill.
I'm trying to lose the last 8 pounds left from my pregnancy with my third child, and I don't have time to cook much, especially in the morning. These are a filling breakfast, especially with a cup of hot green tea. In fact they are so hearty that sometimes I'll eat just half of one after I drop off my daughter in the morning, on my way to the gym, and the other half after I get back to the car, to tide me over until I can get my hands on a more substantial meal (and prevent a stop at all those drive-thru's I pass on my way to my next stop). The thing to remember, if you are trying to drop body fat, is that these have nearly as many calories as many Healthy Choice Meals, and those often have a protein (meat or poultry), a starchy veggie like potatoes, gravy, a full serving of green veggies, and a dessert, so for me, these meal replacement bars are strictly for when I don't have time to eat something more substantial. That said, the taste is good and they generally don't leave me hungry. I am usually fine for at least two and a half hours after eating one of these bars.
