We purchased this shelf to go inside of a Tripp Lite Rack. We installed an Allworx phone system on it, which is lite, but this would work for heavier items also.

When I bought my rack shelves I was somewhat concerned that, at these prices, they would be maid from tin foil. Wrong! These shelves are bullet proof! Another reviewer stated that his measured less than 10 1/2 inches. Mine was slightly over 10 1/2 inches.

Gob some silicone rubber adhesive onto the feet of whatever you want to mount, scratch the metal on the shelf in these places, put the component down and 24 hours you have a solidly mounted item for your rack.

Perfect!

I added this to a TrippLite 4 post rack. The shelf is not very deep, but I was able to squeeze a 2-disk NAS, wi-fi router, cable modem, and a cable amplifier onto it. It feels solid

I'm using this for a network rack.

Great paint job, and strong as hell. I was expecting something a lot worse for this low price. I'm pleasantly surprised.

A client of mine needed to put a LCD monitor on their rack to use for audio/video purposes, and rather than spending upwards of $1k for a rack-mountable LCD, I suggested a shelf like this one. Installed it for them in about 5 minutes, sat the monitor on the shelf, and was done. The shelf holds it just fine, and it appears that it would more than likely hold even more weight than the monitor. Not a bad price for it, either, considering local dealers of this type of equipment easily charge twice as much!

Sounds simple, but it really isn't. Done well, with heavy enough gauge metal so it doesn't flex under its rated load. Small lip at the rear prevents items from sliding off the back but is low enough to not interfere with cables attached to the back of the equipment. The lip is even nicely rounded to minimize abrasion.

Like me! Seriously, a good looking shelf, very solid. What more do you want out of an equipment rack self. I have not had any finish issues.

I had to order 4 times in order to receive the un-damaged one.
In some reason, I received damaged one 3 times - mostly looks like shipping damages.
The font corner(s) got bent while shipping.

The 4th order came it without shipping damage. However, the edge of the product has a little ding marks/cut off left over area after cutting I assume. Yes, it is very minor factor - I just assumed that this is the part of the production process. In addition, I did not want to wait any longer since the 4th one was back-ordered and finally delivered.

Other than that, it is great size specially does not waste your rack(2U). It only uses 1U(1.75").
While I was waiting, I also considered 2U oneOdyssey ARS2 2 Space Rack Shelf Accessory.
However, I love to save space for the rack.

Now, this tray holds my VoIP phone(Yealink T22P, Router and cable modem). Very nice product as long as you receive it without shipping damages.

Again, Amazon's great service(return) covered all these bad one except time issue. But still satisfied with Amazon.

I bought this shelf unit along with a StarTech.com 8U Open Frame Wall Mount Equipment Rack - 12-Inch Deep RK812WALLO (Black), a Cyberpower CPS-1215RMS Rackmount PDU Power/Surge Strip - 12-Outlet 15A 1800VA 1800 Joules, a D-Link 24-Port Rackmountable Gigabit Switch DGS-1024D and a TRENDnet 24-port Cat6 Unshielded Patch Panel TC-P24C6.

The shelf is well made and fit perfect in the rack and with the other items mounted. It can easily support most normal network items such as; NAS, Modem etc... without any problems.

The depth of the shelf was perfect for my use as it allows enough room for power wires and such to still feed behind it once it was mounted in the rack.

I put this shelf in my home server rack. I keep my NAS, router and cable modem on it. The NAS is quiet heavy and the shelf holds it with no issues.
