About the Author
June Marinos was born in London of welsh and Irish parentage, and is married to a Greek economist and World War II veteran. She has three children. During World War II she served in the Women's Royal Naval Service and worked in the Orkneys and Egypt. After the end of the war she joined the Foreign Office and served in Bulgaria and Luxemburg. Since 1961 she has been living in Greece. As well as writing a cookery column for the Chandris Hotels magazine, she has published a book about Zakynthos cooking, has completed a draft of a book with some 60 ways of cooking eggplant, and is currently working on a book of Ionian Island Cookery.
