The CD that made me a Groenemeyer fan,

The Oe CD was given to me as a gift from a German friend. After hearing this CD, I instantly became a fan of Groenemeyer. The music has a great upbeat rock tempo, but I also like his ballads such as Halt Mich. I've gone on to collect all other music by Groenemeyer.

"Ö" is truly one of the best expressions of Grönemeyer's music style and one of the great accomplishments of contemporary German pop music. With ballads like "Komet" and "Halt Mich" and quasi-rock tunes like "Was Soll Das" the CD is balanced, interesting and pure joy in the lyrical sense. However, even though it is suggested that one has knowledge of the German language, the music is enjoyable without understanding the words. Whether one wishes to supplement his/her world music library or get in touch with ones German roots this album is a fabulous addition. Highly recommended.

My favourite Grönemeyer CD,

I have been a Grönemeyer fan for several years now and this CD includes all songs I like best, especially "Halt mich". I like his texts that don't always consist of love. This CD (and all his other releases) is worth buying it!
