An actual product review,

A lot of products make claims that don't hold true. I bought this hoping for the best but I was still pretty skeptical. Now, I'm buying more and getting refills for them in advance! Great product!
Moving day: Many many starving mosquitoes gleefully greeted us. We fled inside. Stayed inside for about a month. Last Saturday: Found this at the grocery store, lit candle and did gardening at sunset. Out for at least an hour, no bites. Sunday: Went out briefly without lighting candle. Six bites. Monday: Went out briefly without lighting candle. Too frustrated to count bites. Vows to light candle even if I'm not planning on going out. Tuesday: Lit candle, went out at sunset, no bites. Considering buying stock in this company.:D

Off! sells two similar products - the PowerPad Lamp and the PowerPad Lantern. I think these normally retail at around $10 for the Lamp and $15 or $16 for the Lantern. The person who said "price is bs" [sic] was probably thinking of the Lamp, or maybe of another Off! product.
The difference between them, is that the Lamp is designed to sit on the ground or on a table, and the Lantern is designed to hang from a 5' sectioned pole that comes in the package. My wife and I use the Lantern, but we don't use the sectioned pole that comes in the package. We use a stand or bracket designed for hanging plants. When the patio is set up like this, it has a very attractive look, in addition to keeping the mosquitoes away.

I have never used an anti-mosquito product that actually worked (other than covering myself with deet - yuck) until I started using the Off Power Pad Lanterns. I live in south eastern Virginia and even though I am not near any standing bodies of water, every summer without fail my patio is covered with mosquitoes! It is really bad. I take out and light up one of these lanterns and literally I can sit outside for hours and not get one bite -- not one. I think you could possibly find these cheaper at a Home Depot, Walmart or Walgreens (maybe) but if not, the price is worth it.
Short of using a mesh screen, which could be a major hassle to put up and keep clean or take down in the winter, this is the next best thing.
