4.0 out of 5 stars wonderful and wacky
What a cool book! A bit of history, folklore and just a lot of fun. If you read cookbooks like novels this is definitely a book you will enjoy.Would make a great gift for curious food friends (hint - hint)or lovers of offbeat and odd facts.

1.0 out of 5 stars Filth + Trash = Rubbish!
Just more filth, trash and rubbish from the sick mind of Albert Ridenour.

Anything he puts to paper should be shredded and recycled for something worthy.

Any publisher should just show him the door. Only a photocopy store and a stapler should be needed for the nonsense he dispenses.

Alan, Albert or Al Ridenour represents nothing I or...

this may sound pathetic but i would put anything into my mouth that al ridenour suggested, no matter how many transfats or grams of refined sugar. i would gladly give up my trim 31 inch waist to savor al's cursory approval. i would rifle a dozen donut stix into my pie hole, then follow up with a pickled pigs feet chaser, if only to make Al nod, perhaps smile, I would eat my boston terrier's poopy, if that's what it would take. I will go to any lengths to get what al has.

Alan, Albert or Al Ridenour represents nothing I or anyone stands for. I believe in censorship and book burnings when it comes to this pornographer!

I spit on the ground he has walked on.
