Un cd muy interesante mostrando orquestaciones originales del gran maestro del ballet y ópera francés Jacques Offenbach.
Destaca mucho la obra "Le Voyage dans la lune" mostrando un singular estilo de orquestación con efectos onomatopeyicos incluidos y la hermosa versión de "Die Rheinnixen" donde se luce el famoso tema "La barcarolle" que todos conocemos. El "cancan" no deja se aperecer como es natural en la obra de Offenbach. El maestro Antonio de Almeida es un director de lujo que saca un sonido maravilloso a la gran Philharmonia Orchestra. Disfrutenlo.

Really super cd with a great De Almeida in top form. Offenbach is is his blood and it is a pleasure to listen over and over again this cd, great buy.
