Book Description

November 15, 1995
The book which changed Washington policy on military intervention in the Balkans is still available in paperback. Packed with vital background data. Vital policy data you can't get anywhere else. Yossef Bodansky's detailed and independent research reveals new facts which significantly affected the way external policy was made toward the former Yugoslavia, and the Bosnia-Herzegovina crisis in particular. The US Clinton Administration had already made the US an active participant in the wars in the former Yugoslavia, unilaterally and secretly escalating direct US military involvement, while claiming to be an impartial peacemaker.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extract from Books on Bosnia, London 1999, March 13, 2000

Bosnian Institute "bosinst" (Bosnian Institute, London) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Offensive in the Balkans: Potential for a Wider War as a Result of Foreign Intervention in Bosnia-Herzegovina (Paperback)
This unusually shrill piece of pro-Pale polemics claims that the February 1994 market-place mortar shell, like the one in August 1995, was `a self-inflicted act of terrorism by the Sarajevo regime'; contains much flesh-creeping rhetoric on the subject of `Mujahedin'; and solemnly warns that any Western military intervention in Bosnia will lead to `a new world war'. Curiously, the text was produced in November 1995: anyone can get predictions wrong in advance of the event, but it requires a special talent to make false predictions about events that have already happened.
