Great choice of material including Alter Ego by late James Williams and straight read of goofy Star Trek theme. Eric Alexander, Billy Drummond and Eddie Gomez excel in support of Willis piano.

A good and enjoyable record but nothing really catches fire, and one wonders if Alexander's tenor had appeared on more tracks if there might have been a temperature rise. There is a certain novelty to hearing the theme from Start trek jazzed up, but aside from that passing effect, there is really nothing happening here. Great background on a Sunday afternoon.
