Music from another world we've all forgotten.......,

This artist and her CD,The Offering, is the very best of the Native American music I have in my collection....many being of Carlos Nakai. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys music so relaxing you are almost in a trance, in another state of mind. During reading or during Yoga, or just background music for a quiet dinner this is a must! It can take you far beyond into another world.................

If Mary Youngblood is not the finest Native American flute player on earth, I don't know who is. Her sense of melody and phrasing are just beyond compare. This album is the Native American Flute at it's best!

Best listenting music during a massage........,

I have many Native American flute music CD's and this surpasses them all. I recently picked it up on my travels to Vancouver Island at a Native American Indian store. I brought it back as a gift to a friend who is a massage therapist. She claims also that this soothing, mind-relaxing music is the best she can offer her clients. I have just ordered another for myself and I highly recommend it to all of you who need to 'slow down' and relax. Great music to read by and great for Yoga!

A beautiful and moving series. The emotion can be felt in every song she plays. I listen to it time and time again and continue to be impressed with her ability to inspire through her music.

Must be heard/Native American Woman artist.,

As a personal friend of the artist/listening and watching her progress to the place where she is recognized as an artist with talent in not only composing but performance, Mary Youngblood is recognized by Carlos Nakai as well as others as a performer whose contribution to the playing of the Native American Flute--she has over 50 hand crafted flutes with some having dual as well as triple chamber capacities- is making her mark on the music scene. She is has been invited to perform at the Native American Music Awards Ceremony in June at Foxwoods, Conneticut! A real treat to know a friend has made it and the recording was done in the Moaning Cave which contributes to the haunting quality of this recording. Way To Go, Mary!

Beautiful Music From a Talented Native Woman,

This review is from: Offering (Audio CD)
Mary Youngblood is a talented, skilled musician. Her music is soaring, peaceful, introspective...and fits in nicely with the other music I have in my CD changer. If you like traditional Native music -- get this CD. It's a treasure.

Mary Youngblood's music is art, spirit, and message at once. This album is so beautiful and emotional, you simply are not able to remain outside the music. At the same time, it is soothing on a profound level. If you haven't listened to Native American music in a long while, you may have a very different idea about what to expect; this album and Mary Youngblood's "Heart of the World" are a very good place to start.
