Simple Solutions to Office Frustrations,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Office 2003 Timesaving Techniques for Dummies (Paperback)
Does anyone else get annoyed with the ever-changing pull-down menus and toolbars in recent versions of Office? Microsoft says it's to help people save time -- but to me it's a time waster when you have to play hide-and-seek with the underline icon - or wait for the full menu to pop out when you need Page Setup. The solution is simple, but I probably would have never known it before buying this book.
More than just offering solutions to Office's quirks, the book also aims to help you set up your programs more effectively, show you things you probably never even thought they could do, and solves hidden security issues for: Office in general, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. With a detailed TOC and index, you can quickly find what you're looking for and the tips themselves are easy to follow. I've been an MS Office user for about nine years, so I'll admit I was skeptical at first about how much I could learn from the book. But as a heavy Word user, I think that section alone has already been worth the price.

I purchased this book for a friend and she really likes it. She thinks that it is a great tool for Office 2003.
