4.0 out of 5 stars Good Simplified Reference Guide April 28, 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I am utilizing the book as a reference guide to help me assist my Mac customers with manuevering features of Office 2011 for Mac. I have found it very easy to find information that I need quickly fix a problem. I only gave it 4 stars because it can't fix the flaws in the Microsoft programming. LOL I am a big fan of the Dummies.com website in general too.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly laid out and written, look elsewhere. March 1, 2013
By Ian
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The fact that they are writing a beginners guide seems to give them an excuse for excessive narrative and hyperbole. The author with all due respect seems to forget that this is a technical subject and the information should be laid out in a concise, easy to follow format. Even the table of contents is a mess, making it very difficult to see where one section ends and another begins. I find myself wasting a lot of time searching for specific information.

Mr. LeVitus I'm sure your are a smart guy, in the future please take your time to write a well formatted and laid out manual and don't get caught up in the rush of getting something to print as quick as possible. It would save us all a lot of time and frustration. I feel that I have wasted my money.

3.0 out of 5 stars More and less that what I wanted January 7, 2013
By Adelie
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is a tough one. I wanted a book about Word for Mac but this was the closest I could find. It covers all the programs in the Office 2011 for Mac suite, the only ones of which I ever use being Word and occasionally Excel. So I bought a lot of information about a bunch of programs I don't use, and not enough on the one I do use. I can't fault the book for that; it is what it said it was, but it's not really what I need.

5.0 out of 5 stars OFFICE 20ll FOR MAC for Dummies September 16, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I purchased this book to help me understand how to use the office portion of my computer. It is so much easier to see the information in a book than trying to obtain it directly from the computer itself.
