This review is from: Office Policy (Love Spectrum Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Office Policy by A.C. Arthur is a 157 page novel that takes office relationships to another level. Cienna Turner, a beautiful single lawyer who is always getting hit on, and Keith Page, a handsome and sexy man who has no problems getting women, were assigned to work on a sexual harassment case together. This case proved to be a challenge because the client was a friend of their boss. In addition, they had an overwhelming attraction to each other. As they began working on this complicated case their attraction threatened to complicate things more. However, when the client makes a pass at Cienna the complications began rolling towards a situation that made things down right impossible. Ms. Arthur develops two sexy likable characters in Cienna and Kieth. Their heat jumped off the pages. The other small characters add a bit of color and flavor to the office atmosphere. Within the harassment case there were many twist and turns with an interesting surprise. However, just as Kieth and Cienna's romance began to bud, there was a shift in focus to the harassment case and that was disconcerting to this reader. That shift also caused the novel to peak prematurely which made the book seem to be over before it actually ended. When the romance was revisited it read like a multi-chapter epilogue. Office Policy is a quick little read that is ideal for vacation or other travel. Kotanya

There's a new policy - suspense and romance at the office,
By Loose Leaves Book Review (Atlanta, GA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Office Policy (Love Spectrum Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
A.C. Arthur broke all the rules in this romance novel. The characters intertwined in the romance are intriguing and will leave you wanting more. Cienna Turner is a gorgeous attorney on the fast track to partner. She does not have time to be bothered with anything other than work. Keith Page is the most attractive man at the firm and has a way of getting any women he wants - or needs. Keith is goal centered in the workplace but cannot keep his mind off Cienna. Raleigh Simms is the client who cannot keep his hands to himself and doesn't discriminate between men and women. Mionne is the firm's administrative assistant with a secret side job that boosts her self-worth (for a while anyway). Reka is the know-it-all receptionist and Tacoma is the office assistant and resident expert on relationships. Reka and Tacoma add comedy to this romance with their conversation and jokes.
Cienna and Keith are paired to represent Raleigh in a sexual harassment case. This case will make or break their careers. The sexual attraction between the two becomes all encompassing and eventually they give into the desires of the flesh. In the meantime, Raleigh makes the mistake of his lifetime - he falls head over heels for Cienna and will do anything to make her his girlfriend. Cienna is offended by his advances and threatens to file her own sexual harassment charges. The story takes an attention-grabbing turn when Cienna and Keith admit their feelings toward one another. Mionne becomes jealous of Cienna's seemingly "have it all" lifestyle and uncovers a secret that will rock the firm. Office Policy offers romance, suspense, and drama with a twist, which will leave your mouth open. This romance novel has a plot like no other and characters much like those who work in my office. The author tackles the issue of sexual harassment head on while keeping you interested in the love developing between Cienna and Keith. The book also reads as a suspenseful mystery of love and money. A.C. Arthur definitely has a winner. The next time you want to curl up with a good romance that has some teeth, read Office Policy. Rreviewed by Monique Bruner for Loose Leaves Book Review

A.C. Arthur is back with another romantic suspense novel--OFFICE POLICY. Read along as Cienna Turner and Keith Page, two attorneys, try to figure out how to juggle work with pleasure.Cienna's goal is to make partner at her law firm. After a disastrous previous relationship, love was the last thing on her mind. Keith is well on his way to becoming a judge. Although plenty of women found him attractive, he didn't have time for the distractions and he wasn't the playboy people assumed he was. Although Cienna and Keith worked for the same firm, they didn't work on any cases together. Well that is, until destiny intervened and they were hired to defend Raleigh Simms in a sexual harassment case. Little did they know that this case would not only bring them closer, but also unravel some secrets that would impact both of their lives forever. A.C. Arthur has another winner with Office Policy. It's full of lies and deceit that will have you wondering what will happen next. Readincolor Reviewers

Fantastic reading experience!,

Nobody likes getting up every morning to go to work, but if I worked in this office they couldn't force me to take a sick day!The two main characters, Cienna and Keith, were very realistic and professional people. They were both smart with goals and aspirations until they were forced to work together and their goals shifted. The attraction is instant and totally beleivable considering the alluring descriptions by the author. Each of them have their own relationship issues but they resolve these without too much fanfare. The sexual harrassment subplot was wonderfuly written and accurately portrayed. The other characters in the book are also well written and add additional spice to the intriguing story. Romance, suspense, and revelations make Office Policy an excellent read!

Romance & Suspense,

Romance, suspense, and a surprise twist make a great combination for this well written story by A. C. Arthur. OFFICE POLICY is a page turner you simply cannot put down for any length of time; it will beckon you to pick it up and continue reading. Cienna Turner and Keith Page are attorneys who work for the same law firm. They develop a strong attraction for one another, but are unaware of each other's feelings. They are assigned to work together on a sexual harassment case representing Raleigh Simms, the CEO of a major communications company. Raleigh, who is vying for a major contract with the state, is being sued by three employees of his company for sexual harassment. Having no solid defense for their client makes it very difficult for both Cienna and Keith to adequately represent him. Simms has a devious sexual appetite that he can't seem to control and he now has a seductive and devilish eye on Cienna. During their case collaboration, Cienna and Keith gradually realize their mutual attraction and soon consummate their relationship agreeing to have no regrets. Cienna is still afraid to completely move on her romantic feelings for Keith because of her past mistakes in dating a co-worker, which caused hurt, humiliation, and finally the loss of her job. Keith, however, refuses to back away. As they cautiously develop a romantic relationship, things involving the case begin to unravel. Ms. Arthur added a diverse group of supporting characters, each with their own issues, who add much drama and humor to this already volatile story. And when things come together, the finale is fitting and surprising. OFFICE POLICY has an impressive storyline, great characterization and a topic that has affected people in the workplace over the years. It is an intriguing and well orchestrated novel. A. C. Arthur is definitely one to keep on the radar of romantic and suspenseful authors (...)

I felt like it was doing too much. I there were segments of the story that gave me deja vu' and I found the bulk of it to be crazy. I didn't get out of this what I thought I would.

Great AC Arthur read!,

Nice story. I read Corporate Seduction (which is the sequel to this book) frist so I was already familiar with the main characters. It was interesting to see how they all started. I thought the story was enjoyable but it seemed that the book could have been longer with more detail, especially about the characters background. Overall, I liked it alot.
